About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(05-06/2017) Has a number of older mods. Probably a good jeeping jeep back in the day. It could a little love.

The sellers of this jeep are very interested in seeing it go to someone who will restore it. It’s got a rare Boston Top that’s in good condition. Contact Mark Pinel at (970) 201-7673 or MarkandLisaPinel@gmail.com if interested.
“It is partially restored (Brakes, Suspension, Seats Re-upolstered), 33,618 original miles. My Dad bought it brand new Dec. 13, 1947 and I have the original bill of sale. It starts easily and holds excellent oil pressure, never had the head off but is in need of carb re-build. I have all the original equipment including governor, PTO, all seats and original aluminum removable hard top with exception of the snow plow. I also have a wide array of spare parts including color-coded cloth wireing harness, vacuum and electric WW motors, ignition parts, complete exhaust system, etc, everything that one would need to put it into first order condition. But it needs to go to a legitimate restorer who can do it right. The engine & VIN numbers on the Bill of Sale match the Jeep and data tags.
Starts easily but the carbureator needs a rebuild as the jets are so clogged up it needs nearly full choke to run. Among the spare parts is a rebuild kit or two for the carb. The transmission shifts well as does the transfer case and the PTO case. The speedometer cable broke during the last few years my Dad had the Jeep but he only was using it around their home, it was not even registered so no meaningful miles since. I have a replacement speedometer cable. The mileage is shown on one of the photos as 33,618.

Barry shared this one. It is being auctioned at Bring-A-Trailer.com.
“This 1948 Willys CJ-2A has been in the seller’s family since 1981 and is powered by a 2.2L Go Devil flathead four-cylinder paired to a 3-speed manual with 4WD and a high-low transfer case. The truck remains in nearly stock condition other than the addition of turn signals and larger wheels and tires. The second owner of this Willys was the Rifton, New York Volunteer Fire Department, who acquired it in 1949 with 1,100 miles. It remained with them until being sold in 1977 with 6k miles to Philip Stokes, also of Rifton, New York. The seller’s father was the fourth owner and acquired it in 1981. Over the last 36 years it was primarily used as an airport vehicle. Recent service includes an oil change and rebuilt fuel pump. This Willys is offered with some service records and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.”
“1947 Willy’s Jeep CJ2A. We are the third owners. It runs and drives great. It looks pretty good too. It has a Jeep V6 and a rare overdrive setup. The seats have great upholstery and the body is pretty straight. It does have it’s needs, but motor and drive train are good. Brand new tires last year. Its a cool little ride, especially around hot august nights.”
“It has been sitting under a tarp for the last 8 years as I was not in the geographical area. The front horns of the frame were replaced, could be done better or replaced. It has a 4 inch rancho lift kit. Front locking hubs, I think the top is still in good condition it has the doors as well. It does not have the original seats, 33 X 12.50 tires I am not sure on the condition of the tires. It has been converted to 12 volt and has a AM/FM radio. The jeep is not running and will need to moved with a trailer. Must have the ability to move it. Cash offers only. I am not in a hurry to sell.”
“1948 CJ3A Jeep, V6, 4wd with lots of large accessory parts. And two upholstered seats.
Also comes with another Jeep:
1946 CS2A frame roller.
These are both project Jeeps.
I’m asking $3500 for both. One runs and one starts but is a project.”
“1948 jeep willys, runs and drives beautifully, 4X4 works perfectly. Has had tons of work done, just needs someone to finish it off (or leave the great old patina and enjoy it). Comes with 6 stock wheels that need new tires mounted on.”
