About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“this posting is for a friend of mine that is has moved out of town. this is a 40’s willys jeep. body frame and differential. what you see is what you get. this would be great for a an off road vehicle, the sheet metal would be awesome to use for a high end truggy or rock crawler. this old body is getting hard to come by.”
“One owner no rust barn kept 1947 willys. runs needs a few things been stored since 97. Has dog hunting box on back great classic instead of a atv for hunting.I also have the doors and the stock rims.”
(10/07/2015) Seller doesn’t indicate what else needs to be finished on this project.
“Selling my 1948 Willys CJ-2A, I almost done with this project, purchased another motor for the vehicle because of a stress crack, therefore; re-did the crank with new bearings, new pistons with rings, new clutch with throughout bearing, waiting for a gasket for the rear end, had a minor drip, removed the gas tank and had it pickled, too many things I did to get it looking good, a little over 22,000 miles. Get a early jump on this vehicle, before she goes. I will NOT accept a text, either call me or email me regarding questions. No low ballers, I don’t need the money, it was a project I like doing, so don’t bother looking for the deal of the year.”
If the rust isn’t bad, this might be worth a look.
“This Jeep has not been driven for years… the reason is because decades ago water got in the gas tank. How this happened is a long story.
If you are a collector this Jeep is worth your time.”
Nice early rare 1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A. First year civilian model. Hard to find Numbers matching, original engine, has all the original frame and body data tags still in place. Restored by previous owner who was Jeep enthusiast. Was a very rust free Jeep before resto. Previous owner sold due to illness. He owned it for many many years. He did great work and most of the restoration work was done by himself and fellow Jeep enthusiasts. Continue reading →
“Here’s your chance to own an American Classic! This Willys Jeep has been in one family since 1948. The vehicle had a frame up restoration in the mid-1980s and is still in solid condition and good working order. It has been garage kept and meticulously maintained over the years. The car starts and runs great. All of the wiring works (odometer needs connected).
If you are interested in purchasing or learning more about the Jeep please contact me by e-mail. I would be happy to send additional information and photos on request.”
(06/04/2015) This might be worth a look. Seller has rear PTO for additional money.
“1947 CJ2A Jeep universal. Older restoration with hardly any aftermarket parts. Redone as from factory; correct wheels for the year, correct air cleaner system, marker and taillight placement, winged thumb bolts on windshield, vacuum wiper, 6-volt system, etc. I have a rear PTO, gear box and the drive shaft, plus a front, frame inserted winch for an additional cost.”
“Damn solid original jeep barn find. Has the original flathead engine. Looks like everything is there. Easy restoration. Must see to appreciate. Engine is stuck. Had antifreeze in it when we pulled the head. Just stuck on 3 & 4 cylinders. $2.800 obo trade possible. TEXT pics of trade offers please. Text only please I have bad phone service for calls. If you must call leave a message I will call you back. Interested in small gas mileage car. Or something interesting. Hit me up on trades worst I can say is no. Thanks for looking.”
“1948 jeep cj2a and 1979 jeep wagoner with the Dana 44 narrow axles that will fit under the cj2a. I have a whole list of parts for the cj2a and the wagoner still has a lot of good parts that could be sold. Both rigs have a clear title! I had some changes in my personal life that pulled me away from this project for a few years. I’ve since lost interest so it’s just sitting. 1050.00 OBO may consider trade for Rat Rod project, an older under 20ft camp trailer or a late 60’s – early 70’s f100 pick up. Email or txt for more information. Calls will only be answers when I’m not at work.”
