About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(05/22/2015) This jeep has a Parkette Body and Bobcat hood.
“This is a running gear from a 1948 CJ2A. The body is completely fiberglass; with a Chevy stock 350cid. Brand new tires, rims, and paint job. Been in storage for 5 years. It’s a awesome old jeep and very light for the sand! It come this the tires next to it.”
This seems to be a mix of parts, but appears to be mostly MB.
“This Willys is a true survivor. The id number is a MB number, but is considered a 1947 by the DMV. The tub is a MB. The driver side has been smoothed over with bondo at some point, but the ribs for the tools can be seen on the inside. The window is post war as well as the M38 grille. The jeep will need to be seen. It needs tlc for sure but is a driver. I just ordered a new Holley 1904 carb which set me back $350. The one on now runs, but leaks a little.
I have the window rubber, just no glass. I also have the wood stops for the hood as well as the brackets for the window hinge. No glass.
The engine is what I can best figure is a 1953 F-Head Hurricane engine. It has the generator, but is wound to a 12v system. It has Model A tail lights. It comes with a complete Willys-Overland Arctic Cover or hard top. They fit MB’s as well as M38’s.
The tires are too big, so I pulled off the rear, but the front still cause it to rumble a bit. When it sells I will be taking off the rear wheels and putting back on the big ones. You will need to put new rubber on unless you don’t mind the rumble and wobble they cause. ”
“Have an 1946 Jeep Willys CJ-2A and various extra parts for sale. A great restore project. Been kept in a barn for the past 10-15 years but was working fine when it was last ran. Trying to clear things from the barn so can’t get great pictures at the moment but posted what you can see. Email only.”
Seller has three jeeps in different condition and prices.
“We have 3 Willys Jeeps that have been sitting in the barn for about 30 years. One is complete with overhead valve engine and plow ($1200) One has flathead engine and the cab has been cut up and replaced with plywood ($1000) and one is a rolling chassis only ($500). Make an offer on the lot or individually.”
“This is a nice project jeep that I have invested twice that asking price, it is just becoming painfully obvious that I just don’t have the time to work on it.
1946 Willys CJ2A with Dana 44 front and rear axles from a Wagoneer.
The tub is in very good condition, only a small hole in the driver’s side floor board, could easily be fixed, I have purchased (but not installed) new pans to weld in for both sides, Those will come with. Continue reading →
“1946 Willys CJ2A early column shift model motor and running gear complete has not been started in 10 years, engine turns free. Will need floors and restoration. This is a would be a worthy project or parts vehicle”
(06/18/2015) Needs more work and is missing a few things.
“Have a 1946 Willys Jeep for sale. New paint job, new front seats with 5 point harness straps, new tires (29 by 8.50), all floor boards have been replaced, custom gas tank that is underneath the back floor board. A lot of work and time has gone into the restoration of this Jeep. Original engine that does run, but needs some work. 4 cylinder 3 speed manual transmission. 4 wheel drive DOES work and has been tested. Comes with rag top. This is a great mudding Jeep if you like to play and get dirty on the weekends.”
