About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“49 willys in pretty good shape very lil rust for age, has been in Paonia it’s entire life. Drives great, very fun , purrs like a kitten, Still has the 6volt foot start system, generator works, absolutely no mechanical issues. Fires right up on the coldest days. Seats were original but got a puppy and she decided to tear them up so does need reupholstered 🙁 has original jack and tools. Would make a fun restore or enjoy it the way it is. 36,000 original miles. Asking $3,900 obo. Serious inquires only.”
“1949 Willys flat fender jeep for sale. Jeep does not run, but motor is free and there isn’t any reason it shouldn’t run, I just haven’t tried it yet. All original with everything here. Needs a restoration, in my opinion but I know some people have different taste. $2600, please don’t call unless your serious. If you suck at fixing things, this isn’t for you, buy a different one.”
(03/23/2020) The rims appear to have little paddles added to them (stock?)?
“This is a project Jeep. It’s a rare Marine Corps radio Jeep. It’s been modified. It has a Buick V-6 225, 160 HP engine. It has a vintage Warren electric winch mounted to a heavy duty bumper, oversize tires on deep dish rims and an after market removable cab. It has a complete, all new brake system, new aluminum radiator, all new wiring harness and lots of extra parts including a brand new gas tank and all new gauges. If you’re looking for a project this is the Jeep for you.”
These are rough. The 3A has a PTO, winch, and some Dualmatic hubs.
“Selling both projects–together or separate. CJ3a has small block ford engine with Allstate Ramsey PTO winch, and original 4 wheel drive with dualmatic hubs. I believe its a 1951. The Willys Truck is a 1950 1/2 and is a 2 wd has the L134 engine and needs the radiator. The transmission will need to be rebuilt. The tailgate is the original Willys Overland logo, this alone is highly sought after as well as the fenders and hood. They do not make them like this anymore. Running with the Patina look is currently going at 25000 plus!! The CJ3a is going for 500 and the Truck for 500. Take them both for 900. Let me know if interested. I am in Corpus Christi but will meet to show.”
This appears to have a replacement body (no cowl battery box lid). The grille and frame also don’t appear setup for an M-38 grille. The hood looks M-38.
“1953 Jeep Willys M38 with L-134 motor. This truck came from Vegas and the party I bought it from got it from Arizona where it was restored in the 90’s. This Jeep is completely rust free and absolutely solid. The inner tub was rhino lined and the frame was painted. The Jeep runs great and idles great. I rebuilt the king pin bearings, steering knuckles, drag link and bell crank so it drives straight with no death wobble.
I also rebuilt the steering box and got a new NOS sector shaft for the larger Ross box that are extremely hard to find. New gas tank and fuel pump New battery Rebuilt drag link, bell crank, king pin bearings, steering knuckles New front brakes and wheel bearings Rebuilt steering box with new sector shaft Rear gas tank rack and 2 tanks The truck has a custom built roll cage with KC lights. 12 volt conversion, electronic ignition, rebuilt alternator, functional winch, tow bar and tachometer.
