About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1967 Jeep CJ6 w/ running original drive train – 225 V6 motor, T90 trans., Dana 18 tc, good clutch and brakes, rare drivers bench seat, steel half top and doors. Clear title no VIN plate – $4,500”
“Solid 1953 Willys CJ3A Project Go Devil L-134 Motor Titled In Connecticut Many new parts Complete Drivtrain Needs wiring and gauges Had different windshield I switched it out”
“All there except carb(I’d get a Weber) and rear driveshaft. Ford ts 1.6. (Pinto engine super nice in these!!)The clutch and adapter kit are all new. Tires good. Yes its got a 2a window but it’s a 3a. Clear nonop title in my name.
Long story short got it from a guy who the city hassled because it was a project in front of his house a number of years ago.
Now I realize I won’t get to it so it’s your chance!!”
“Too many extras to list it has a 67 Ford Mustang motor in ARB air lockers in the front rear Dana 44’s in the front and rear front end out of a three-quarter ton Chevy been narrowed down435 new process transmissions Centerforce clutch spring over brand new leaf springs Rancho power steering It has a warn overdrive way too many things to name everything”
“CJ3A Willis Jeep frame, wheels, and misc parts. Selling as a full lot, not wanting to sell parts individually. Please call Vic with questions. Thanks!”
“1949 Willys Jeep CJ3A. Has the “Dauntless” V6. Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Dana 18 transfer case. Saginaw steering. Front disc brakes. Lots of new parts. $3,000 with new tires and older rims. $2,500 with older original style wheels and tires. Runs well and drives but definitely needs more restoration but that’s part of the fun with these old Willys jeeps. Make offer or if you have something of equal value maybe we can trade.
This Jeep was never titled but the price reflects that. I did a title search in Oregon where it was purchased and came up with nothing. There are ways to license and register it and it really isn’t a big deal but just know there is that issue. Added: The Transmission shifts rough and leaks and may need a rebuild.. Probably needs a new radiator. I took the gas tank off and did a coating on the inside which came out very nice. Put in a new gas tank gauge sending unit. New distributor cap and points. New coolant hoses. Runs well but I have a carburator rebuild kit for it. Changed the oil. Changed the tranny fluid. Did a flush of the coolant system.”
“1950 Jeep CJ3A – have plow also.
Was my project but moving soon.
Wood on sides (see pictures).
Not started in some time.
Complete. Unmodified original.”
It’s listed as a 1947 CJ-2A, but it looks to be a 3A.This half top is a curious one. It looks like it’s been built out of galvanized metal? If so I suspect it’s a home made one, perhaps modeled after a Porter & Reed top?
“Pulled this out of a Quonset a couple months ago, it’s a cool little Willys Jeep but I already have a CJ2A and this is one project too many.
Hasn’t run for about 4 years, I asked the guy how long he’d had it he said, “I put those 1973 plates on it. ”
We have not tried to start it, the oil looks good and it has antifreeze in it, the gas line is disconnected at the fuel pump, they had a little can on it last time it ran. The engine has pretty good looking red paint so I asked him about that. He said they had it rebuild a “Long time ago.”
