About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1950 Willy’s Jeep. Runs good Buick v6 swap, front axle needs to be rebuilt haven’t had the time to pull the cover off to see what happened. Transfer case and everything else work great. New steering box. Pretty firm on price, may be open to some trades.”
This is listed as a 1946 CJ-2A, but titled as a 1949 CJ-3A. I’d say it’s more likely the 3A with a 2A windshield.
“For sale is a beautiful barn find 1940’s Jeep Willys. It was wonderfully restored by the previous owner. He was a military veteran who drove it in parades. I have cleaned and replaced fuel lines so that fuel flows clean and well. It has been converted to a 12 volt system with electric fuel pump. Engine runs and idles well. Rust free frame. Converted it to a tilt steering column with turn key ignition. All steel tub and the floors have been professionally converted to heavier metal. Includes bestop soft top in good shape. Small oil drip when engine is running, just needs a new oil pump gasket. Brakes work but should be checked to be fully road worthy. It is titled as a 1949 CJ3A. I believe it has the go devil L134 engine. Asking 7500 or best offer.”
“1950 CJ3A Runs and drives. Converted to 12 volt, Electronic distributor, New Carburetor, New Tires, New Battery, New Fuel Tank, Starter and Alternator are New. Currently tagged and Insured.”
“Selling for a friend of the family he’s in bad health. Owned for 47 years! In amazing shape runs and drives. Has a CJ5 motor in it. No rust. Comes with a enormous collection of spare parts.”
“CJ3A – w/ 1.9 VW turbo diesel – front and rear lockout hubs (flat tow) full soft top and bikini top – plus spare rolling chassis- cramped, not for a big guy”
Seller is hoping to trade for a truck. This includes power lock hubs and a bed extension. I’m not sure what the “gentlemen” comment means, but perhaps it’s not so much a gender issue as it is a politeness issue?
“Trade 1951 Willys CJ3A for nice Truck.
51 Willys is 99.9% complete and runs excellent.
This offer is extended to gentlemen only.
If you have a nice girly 4X4 pickup (for my wife) of equal or greater value with a possible cash bump either direction than call me.”
“49 CJ3a. 2.5 iron duke T19 4 speed Dana 18 t-case Dana 30 front Dana 44 rear. 5.38 gears Webber carb. HEI distributor 31″ Toyos. With matching spare. Engine will start with some tinkering. It will drive onto your trailer. It has only gas in it and the carb needs a cleaning.”
“Selling my grandpas 1951 willys cj3a. Has typical rust, but would make a great project! It’s a little ugly with the hood scoop, roll bar, and small tires but would clean up nicely!!! No motor or trans but everything else is there! No title but will be easy to apply for since it hasn’t been registered in many years! Great project or yard decor!”
