This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1949 Willys CJ3a. Low low serial number (499). Bought to restore. Body was rough. Took the body off and dismantled it. Bought all new panels to put it back together. Blasted and painted the frame and engine block. All new brakes and lines, new exhaust. New fuel tank and lines. New shocks. Replaced junk tranny and transfer case with a good donor. New clutch. New u joints on drive shafts. Included is a whole spare tub, extra cowl, extra fenders, seat frames and a ton of miscellaneous parts. Spent much more in new parts from Walck’s and Kaiser Willys than what I’m asking for the whole thing. The old girl deserves to be finished.
The engine fires and turns freely. The transmission and transfer case shifts as it should. Hate to see it go, but I’m not going to get to it. Pics are from when I bought it and the work in progress. In dry storage now. I can take credit and debit with my Square reader. I’m not a dealer.”

Listed as a 1953, it appears to be a 1946 CJ-2A. Has a few mods. I’ve never seen a tow mount attached above the PTO bar like this one has.

All original, clear title, runs and drives great. Frame is in great shape, very solid. Body is in really good shape. Floors have been patched. Bed is in really good shape with no patches. New paint and decals. Interior has been rhino lined. New tail lights need wired up. Headlights work, gauge cluster works. Brakes work great. Come with another complete set of military tires. They are one size taller. Has removable bikini top. Middle seat slides right out. Just a fun Jeep that never gets used anymore.”
