About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Curiously, the body has a battery box lid, but no fuel inlet or tool indents on either side. So, I’m not sure what body this is. Has a number of updates, but even more rust. Not sure if there’s much value left here. Also has the Warn hubs that we haven’t tagged with a model name yet.
“This is a 1946 Willys Army Jeep, was running when parked. Needs sheet metal work (as the pictures will show). So no cream puff. There is no drop-down tail gate on the back, solid across. I was told from the original owner (way back when) that originally it was a CJ2A, but he changed the windshield (straight across, no separation) & the front grille, it made it a CJ3A style.
Engine is a 289 Ford with headers, 3″ collectors & that runs at 3” to the input of the Thrush mufflers mounted on the sides. Also another unique feature is that the original ring & pinions have been changed out from the 5:38’s to a more reasonable 3:54 ratio, making for better hwy driving. I believe the 4 speed transmission is from a Ford Bronco with part-time 4WD engagement & Hi & Lo gearing, front lock-out hubs as well. Has rack & pinion steering (which should be lowered a few inches to align better). Had a full soft-top at one time (have the doors) but that fabric has dry-rotted long time ago, bikini top (not in good shape either) is what you see in the pictures.
