About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“HERES A SWEET PARADE OR CAR SHOW WILLYS, FRAME OFF ABOUT 15YEARS AGO AND HAS 2900 MILES SINCE ALL REBUILT, THIS THING IS ALL ORIGINAL WITH A FLAT 4CYL AND A 3SPEED,FLOOR STARTER.TURNS HEADS SELLING FOR FAMILY OF A GOOD FRIEND THAT HAS PASSED.”
“So this is a 1948 CJ3A, titled as such with only two parts on it that are original. Everything else is from a samurai. Basically it’s a fiberglass jeep body, bolted onto a 1994 samurai frame with all samurai running gear. It was built to be ultra light, with the bench mark of below 1800 lbs which meets the legal requirements for a side by side (class IV UTV) to go on side by side only delegated trails. It’s also a fully insured street legal registered 48 cj3a (no DEQ to meet). The fiberglass body is also made to be 8” longer than a stock CJ3A has to accommodate taller drivers. Why a samurai? Everything on a samurai is built to be lightweight. The engine is fuel injected, aluminum block and heads, fully dressed weights 175 lbs…….. If you think bolting a chevy 350 inside a CJ2A is a good idea this rig probably isn’t for you. If you recognize the biggest advantage you can have off road is lightweight, we should talk. It takes the idea of “go anywhere” to a whole new level. Continue reading →
“This is a very clean and insanely rust free original body ’51 CJ3-A. The previous owner did all the paint work, and engine swap. It is nearly complete. Needs some tuning and timing. The t-90 transmission needs to be serviced or rebuilt. I contacted Washougal Classic Jeep about this job, and it is a fairly affordable job through them, or even a fairly easy rebuild to tackle at home if you are so inclined. The seats have been freshly reupholstered. Soft top is older and has a few tears, but does fold, and all the zippers work. Has new electric wiper motors also. Fiberglass hood. One tire has a slow leak, but i think it is a valve stem issue. it doesn’t have any punctures that I can locate.
231 Buick V6 swap is neat and well done. Aluminum radiator, electric fan. I have had it up and running, but have not driven it.
I picked this Jeep up in a trade thinking I would finish it up and do some wheeling, but another project is calling my name more. Needs a new owner who loves these old jeeps to wrap it up and have a really killer little rig. Clean OR title. Currently runs but DOES NOT DRIVE. BRING A TRAILER. I won’t bring it to you, or do any of the work it needs for you. For sale as-is, where it is.”
“Super clean jeep 255 buick V-6
You wont find another like it , no rust, triple stick , Detroit lockers, brand new tires . Price is non negotiable I am selling for money to move . I will have no problem loading on trailer and taking it with me .”
(09/13/2017) Looks a little rough on the outside, but it sounds like it might operate well.
“1950 Willys Jeep CJ3. Flat fenders, low hood line, flop down windshield. Twin stick transfer case, original front hubs, and a flat head. Redone engine / tranny / radiator by previous owner. Starts instantly, purrs nice. New brake master cyl, new brake lines and all 4 new brake cylinders, new seats front and rear, new tires, new altenator (no generator), new battery, booster twin electrical fans, new wiring harness, new lights, etc. Driven a few times each week, even when 115f with no issues. Gets a lot of attention and pictures everywhere I drive. Old ford/mercury trades considered – need cash for my truck project before my wife gets more upset with me.”
“It took 8,500 hours (6 years) to engineer and build this Willys. It was owned by my brother since about 1996. This beast will crawl just about anything that you can throw at it! We are only selling it because we don’t drive it anymore and hope to find someone local that will take great care of it.

“This is a solid 1952 Willys Jeep. It runs well and is drivable, but will need some brake work before it’s ready for the road. It has the overhead valve engine. The hood scoop is because it was updated by the military to the overhead valve engine from a flathead, and more room was needed for the carburetor.
I’m no expert, but here is a brief description of the APU conversion. They were converted by two companies for the military, O.E. Szekely and the Valentine Welder and Manufacturing Company. The APU stands for auxiliary power unit, and they were also called jet starter jeeps. The military converted these Jeeps for use in the Navy and Air Force. They were used among other things to start jet aircraft. There were a few variations, they made both 3 and 4 wheeled versions.
The right seat and factory toolbox underneath it were removed, and a pto was run up thru the floor towards the right seat well, to power the generator. I will attach a picture showing one, and here is a link to get you started:

(09/23/2017) This “1948” has a CJ-3A windshield and an early CJ-2A grille. I’m guessing it’s a bid of parts.
“1948 Willys Jeep most part all complete posting for a friend it’s solid very little rust and none all the drive trains in it motor will need to be overhauled”
