This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (06/24/2013) Given it doesn’t look like there was any gas filler on the driver’s side, I’m not sure what body this is front. Maybe DJ or repro? Looks like a nice build.

It appears to be a CJ-3B, but it’s listed as a 1950. It also has a CJ-3A windshield. Maybe a mix of parts?
“For sale 1950 jeep willy. currently does not run due to carburetor being dirty. I have not had the time to remove and rebuild. A new carburetor is not to expensive and can be found on multiple websites.”

There’s got to be $300 of value here. Based on the windshield I’d guess a 3A.

“1951 Jeep CJ3A. Family heirloom for 40+ years. Engine is a 153 ci Chevrolet 4 cylinder which purrs and plenty of power. 3 speed manual transmission. Hi – Lo transfer case. Warn hubs, Posi-trac front and rear. Roll bar, soft top, CB, am fm radio, SW gauges, tow bar, gas can, PTO winch! Comes with a set of stock wheels, spare and chains. Runs and drives. It was used exclusively for hunting trips and rescued many 4 wheel drives with it’s PTO winch. Has been in storage for the last ten years. This is an excellent example of a post war jeep and a great vehicle for the 4 wheel enthusiast. Located in Bend. Call my cell for showing. Clear title.”

This appears to be a blend of a 4WD CJ chassis and a DJ-5 body and front clip.

“i have a 53 willys jeep im looking to sell or trade.. it is currently registered and insured.. i have clean title in hand.
the jeep has a small block chevy 350 with a sm465 4 speed manual and a np205 transfer case.. it has waganeer axles under it now.. 44 front and 44 rear.. with posi .
jeep also comes with another set of matching axles witch are dodge 9.25 with posi and a flat top 44 front..
also has all autometer gauges and redone seats with heaters in them.”
Has one of the odder hood bumps.
