About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“looking to trade this willys jeep – 1949 still has 6 volt system runs well / perfect hunting camping/project for off road prefer dirt bikes / but open to what you may have the bad: no title , but is clear in ca and nv dmv”
For Sale is a amazing shape 1951 Willys CJ3a, 63,500 Documented Miles. She has a Arizona “A” title. (for you non Arizonians, this means documented, never lost or adjusted). This Willys was restored (I’m guessing in the 80’s) seems like a frame off and there was sooo many parts that were chromed! Sometime after the restoration the trans and transfer case was cracked and it was parked for many years. The original L134 runs great and now has a new and freshly rebuilt T-90 transmission with a new clutch and pressure plate. A 1947 Spicer 18 transfer case replaced the old cracked one. A new parking brake assembly was also installed. There are 5 chrome Mod wheels (has some rust) with 5 BRAND new 31×10.50×15 radials.
The body is in amazing shape, showing a faded metallic grey paint over the original green paint. The “top hats” or c-channels are all rust free and NO RUST floors. The pictures show only surface rust on SOLID floors. Even the tool box is solid! There was a lot of chroming done during the original resto. Including bumpers, roll bar, shifters, shifter boot rings, diff covers, shackles, latches, hinges, soft top parts, Custom lower rocker and quarter trim, you name it! it was chromed! She also has a tow bar and a bikini top!
“1951 Willys CJ3A. Professionally rebuilt L head 4Cylinder engine, new clutch and flywheel, radiator, starter, generator. 6 volt original. New tires and wheels. Brakes are 50% and work perfectly. Price is firm.”
“I have a Willys cj3a for sale. Its basically a bare frame with all the main body components. Tub, fenders, hood, grill, tailgate, windshield frame. Plus a couple extra parts like a gas tank, soft doors, and a seat. Also a couple extra body parts. The tub has some rust out in the floor pans but nothing too crazy. I lost interest in it and its just taking space in my garage. The title says it’s a cj2a but the fender wells are notched and it has a 3a windshield. I’d like to break even on it or at least come as close as possible. My name is Trevor, Call, text, email doesn’t matter to me.”
“1953 willys jeep for. very sale very rare cj3a . Very good condition. sorry Im posting for a freind and don’t have any pictures yet but will have soon”
“I have a Willys Jeep for sale.
It has a Buick V6-225 that runs well. It is in rough condition but not falling apart. I have mounted the battery in the rear deck due to the V6 occupying all the engine compartment space.
I traded some work for it years ago but have run out of desire to work on it.
It has no paperwork and will need a VIN search. I can only offer a bill of sale.
You will need to come and get it with a tow or trailer. It runs but is not road worthy, .”
“This is what is left of my ‘donor’ CJ3A plow jeep I built. It plowed my yard for the past 15 years but the engine was tired and smoked. Since I had more engines and parts, I made another plow jeep last year using the body, windshield and seats from this. It runs, but needs the engine accessories (carb, radiator, fuel pump, etc.). Sits on 3 16″ rims and 1 15″ rim to roll out of the way. Parted out, this would garner more than $200.”
Given the winch and the solid looking body, this looks like it has value.
“Jeep Willys 1949
Here is a 1949 CJ-2A. It was parked over 10 years ago. When it was parked it was running and was used for hunting. It has been converted to a Chevy V-8.
Asking 1500.00”
“I have a 1953 willy’s cj3a for sale or trade. Full fiberglass body, frame very clean, comes with road tires/wheels and military bar tires on wheels. Flat head 4 cyl. Engine. Clean title. Ran when parked in the garage in 08, have not touched it since then. I would also be interested in trading for a nice honda 250r or 350x”
“1948 Willys CJ3A. Original flat head 4 cyl. Runs good. No smoke. New electronic distributor, carb completely rebuilt. New gauges including speedometer. Recent clutch, brakes, brake lines, fuel line. Tires have good tread and hold air, but starting to dry rot slightly from setting up. No cracks in windshield. Tow bar. Needs wiring connected; lights, alternator, etc… Ready for woods or restoration.”
“Willy`s Jeep – Original Parts – it used to drive about 2 years ago, needs a carburetor. Ideal for someone needing a project, parts alone can be sold for $1500 – Bill of sale, no title, never had one. NOt sure of year model.”
