Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “selling our restored 1953 willys overland cj3a jeep. I completely went through it over the winter and have pictures and receipts to prove it. it has a fiberglas tub with a steel grill and windshield frame. here’s what was done to it:
new 31/10.50r15 tires on 70s cj rims
completely new brakes, re machined drums
new axle and pinion seals
sand blasted, rust proofed, and painted frame
new Moog shock absorbers
manual locking hubs installed
A good paint job would help this jeep.
“1951 Willys CJ3A Jeep, 4 wheel drive, locking differentials, soft top, good tires, custom camouflage paint with clear coat, front windshield will lay down, only rust is on tailgate (see picture), 4 cyl Buick motor, came with factory heater, new windshield wiper motor, runs great. You wont find many of these jeeps in such good condition for this low price. Prefer contact by text or email.”

“I have 4 jeeps total. One is a Postal jeep right hand drive 6 cylinder automatic runs and drives great. I have 3 willy’s jeep rolling chassis. 2 have engines that run with running gear and trannys. One has no engine . I have 3 tubs and all the finders and hoods. Everything to make two good jeeps. And a lot of extras that go with the bundle. I will not part any out, Its a package deal so don’t ask. I have the Fl title for the Postal Jeep and bill of sale for the Willy’s Jeeps.”
