This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (07/28/2014) This was for sale a few years ago.
“Great condition! 4 cyl, flat-head engine, good drive shafts, good drive-train, new carb, new tires, new windshield glass( one piece), new speedometer cable, Warn hubs, like new black soft-top, chrome rims, 12-volt system, alternator needs work, runs great, looks good (slight body damage – right rear taillight). Included extra parts: 2 jeep radiators, 2 fenders, 8 jeep rims, oil bath air cleaner, steering bearings, felt & rubber gaskets for front axle, windshield wiper motor & blade, bikini top, and more!”

(10/14/2014) It looks like this has an extra dash plate for some reason.
“1949 Willys Jeep. Original Go Devil 4 cylinder engine, original 3 speed transmission with high-low stick and 4 wheel drive stick. 12 volt. Live PTO, lockout hubs, soft top, winch, tow bar, all gauges and lights work. Everything except paint is pretty much all original. Frame has never been cut. Runs and drives great.”

Has a fiberglass body.
“Im selling a 1953 willys jeep it has the original engine and trans. runs and drives good but it wouldnt hurt to adjust the clutch whitch i may do befor i sell it. it has a 1951 fiberglass body with brand new lowback seats. i have the original seat frames they need new cushions front and rear. i put a 15 gallon fuel tank in the back where the rear seat goes but i have the original that goes under the front seat that will go with it. you will notice from the pictures it has a small scoop on the hood to clear the engine. since the hood is shorter on a 1951. It also has a home made 2 1/2 inch lift on it that was on it when i got it. I will also trade for a side by side or 4 stroke jet ski both must be running. make an offer”

(11/30/2014) With the later model axles, this chassis might of interest to someone.
“my brother in law got this in a trade. It appears to be an old Willys body. On a CJ 5 frame. With a what I think is a Ford Motor could be AMC 4 cylinder did not look close. Frame is actually in good shape. Motor trans and transfer case are all there. I believe it has a Dana 30 front with disc brakes and a 20 in the rear. I do not know much about it. it is 90 miles north of north side of Indy.if you have any questions please feel free to text or call me. We do have a title for it. There is no front clip. What you see in the pictures is what he has.”

“Sell or trade for a land rover, 1951 CJ3A with a Chevy 327, disc front brakes, winch, dana 18 with a manual 3 speed. Small lift 33″ mud tires, power steering, locked front and rear with 5:38 gears. Ruff and tuff just like a old jeep should be, new wiring harness. Tagged for the street but not a daily driver, great for the mountains or beach.”

Maybe 2 CJ-2As, 2 CJ-3As and a possible DJ-3A.
“5 willys jeeps that roll and engines are not seized. 1 run and drive yr ago then been setting. 1 jeep is on blocks but full of various willys parts. all have potential of running. they have been in the barn for years exceptions of the one that was parked. It was on the deer lease it also has a winch on front. ALL JEEPS MUST GO TOGETHER AND WILL NOT MAKE ANY EXCEPTIONS!!”

Currently in Mexico. No reason to believe it is a ’56. Seller’s photos seem to be backwards (I fixed the bottom one).
“Rusted, Spackled, painted multiple times by a moron, engine gone and needs replacement, 2 and 4 wheel drive with both high and low, three on the floor, awesome relic from yesteryear… only thing redone is the seats… many, many hours of work required to make Dora (named after someone with similar attributes) run again… Parked in my garage in Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point, Mx)…”

It’s a project.
“I have a 1951 willys for sale with a 302 V8 from a ford mustang. I have replaced the fuel pump with a new electric fuel pump, new plugs and wires along with cap and rotor, gas tank… This was intended to be a project and just never got around to working on it.”
