About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1952 CJ3a (from Washington State) with 289v8, headers, 3spd with warn Od, ps, locking hubs, 8k warn winch, tow bar, new top, roll bar, new bucket seats, 2 gas tanks, swing out spare, electric wipers, 10″brakes, recored radiator, titled.”
Those are some large turn signals in the front. I can’t tell what’s on top of the windshield.
“1950 Willy’s Jeep CJ3A 4×4: Very hard to find with dual fueling sides: You can feul up either on the driver side or passenger side:
Color is Red with a white soft top, has full soft top doors, needs new window vinyl
Motor: Chevy 283 small block
Orignial running gears, transmission, and rear end
Has 4×4 high and low
Lots of mods have been done to the Jeep.
It was rebuilt in the 70’s, so it has impala red seats, tool box under back seat. This thing was built for the desert or the chocolate mountains.
Brand new off tires: 31 on old school jackmen rims
Runs and Drives: Needs a little brake work to finish project up. Over all great desert Jeep, you would be the talk of your Jeep Club driving this beauty around.”
“Selling my Willys cj3a jeep. Runs good brakes need work body is rusty. 4×4 works with high and low. Has been sitting for a while and now won’t go into 3rd gear. Motor fires rite up does not smoke. Have title. 402-841-1931”
“1949 Willys CJ3A this rig has a lot of work done to it. It has a Ford SB 302 CID V8, rebuilt carburetor, new starter and alternator, power steering, electric fan and fuel pump, points converted distributor, relocated oil filter, custom headers, Flowmaster mufflers. The drive line is setup very nice T90 3 speed transmition(new clutch), T18 transfer case, Warn Saturn overdrive so it has 12 forward and 4 reverse gears, New U joints, Dane 25 front axle, offset Dana 44 rear axle with a locker. New 35x 12.50 15 BF Goodwrench KM2 on black spoke steel wheels. It has been lifted with 2.5in Rancho leaf springs and a spring over conversion. New fuel cell and gages, 8000lbs winch, two fuel cans and mounts. I have a few extra parts that I just haven’t had the time to install yet. So as you can see this is a very capable trail rig. Just about all the custom work on this was done or redone correctly by me. Asking $3000 OBO. If you have any questions please ask.”
You never know when you’ll need to blend in with a heard of cows.
“This is a project jeep for someone, axles have been gone through, dana 25 & 41 with 5.38 gears. Has a 302 V8 kit installed, not running & no radiator. Tow bar come’s with it. The body is very straight but has floor board rot like all CJ’s. Willing to barter, I’m into ford hipo racing parts, small block or big block parts. Ansen older 8lug pattern 16.5×10 slots, 38 inch swampers-mudders. Some where around 1k. What cha got ?”
(04/25/2013) This looks good, but I can’t if it is a 1948 CJ-2A or a 1949 CJ-3A. I’m guessing 3A.
“1948 WIllys CJ3A Jeep. Restored to original specs. Rebuilt original motor, transmission, carb, fuel pump and brakes. New wiring harness. 6 Volt electrical system. Painted Luzon Red with the correct stencils. Power take off 8,000# Konig winch. New military tires. This is a jeep that brings smiles to peoples’ faces! Clean California title.”
Ryan forwarded this. It’s not perfect, but there appears to be value here. The body has some crinkles.
“All body and interior parts of Willys 1947 CJ2A, including tub, tailgate, fenders, hood, grill, instruments, and seat frames.
All in fair original shape, with some rust that will need patching in floor, and threshold area (see pictures. Fenders, hood, and grill solid, but normal dings and dents. Never bondo-ed, never patched.
All parts sold together until 6/7/13, when I will part out separately if not sold as package.”
Pascal spotted this jeep. Note the jeep-lamp above the garage door 🙂
