This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I am selling my 49 Willys. It has a 350 chevy engine, long tube headers,mild cam, holley 750 carb, Mallory electronic ignition, turbo 400 automatic transmission, Dane 44 in back and a Dana 30 up front. Full roll cage. Estimated horsepower is 360. It was a sand dune racer from southern California. Would make a bad ass ice racer here in Colorado. Comes with 3 tops, a cover and a bunch of extra pieces/parts. Cash only please. Vin verification is done. Price is negotiable.”

Well, it’s the first year they put the hurricane in the CJ-3B, but not in the CJ-3A.

“1951 Willys Jeep CJ3A Nuts and bolts restoration. New tub, rebuilt engine and trans. OD paint and military markings. Military NDT tires. Mock up .50 cal machine gun can be displayed ala Rat Patrol. $15K in materials put into it. That said, I will have to take a loss, I understand that. Make a reasonable offer.”
James has been busy attending the College of Mines in Golden, Colorado. But, he had time to drop us a note. He writes, “I saw this Gem today. I was on my way back home from school while this drove past me. It’s a 1950 Willys CJ3A with an overdrive unit just like my old 3a. It is in amazing condition and runs like a champ. It’s good to see it still on the roads in Golden. For a moment I thought it was my old 3A! ”

“I have a mid 40s jeep willy I beleave its a1945 its only 2wd its got a motor and trans out of a pinto and the front coil spring suspension with pwr disk brakes rack and Pinyin steering this thing runs and drives great starts up with just a tap of the switch i may have it all painted army green this weekend it could make a really cool rat rod or just a toy not really wanting to get rid of it but just seeing what’s out there will sell for $1500 firm will not take any less or trade I have seen them on here in pieces for that much just call or text me if u want to know more”
