About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“1952 WIlly’s jeep with 350 motor. Has new: rear end, painless wiring kit, Corbeau seats, gages, battery, starter, Chevy tilt wheel column, shocks, exhaust, fan and block hugger headers. 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor and bigger aluminum radiator. The jeep is about 80-85% redone. Runs strong, 4wheel drive works great, downside: tranny just lost gears, only has 3rd, but I will give you a tranny that I have its a Ford 4 speed top loader with reverse which is over and down.”

(05/30/2011) The body is fiberglass and the engine a 258.
“A real head turner! My jeep is a 53 willys body on a 78 cj7 frame. The body is all fiberglass, so no rust. There is an 1984 six cylinder 258 engine. Original engine (an older 258) was replaced with this 258 three years ago. Guy I bought it from said it was rebuilt 25000 miles ago. Has the carter 2bbl carb. Has a T150 transmission. Transmission was checked over last year. Shifts very good in forward gears. Does grind when you put it in reverse but only if you do it quickly. 4 Wheel drive works awesome. Has lockers on the front rims. The tires are 35″ BFGoodrich All Terrain wheels. The rims were painted in april of this year. Brand new custom made bumpers were installed in march of this year too. Jeep is a short wheel base car so if you turn sharply while going fast you are guaranteed to roll! That being said, this jeep has never been rolled. There is so much more that can be said about this jeep! The hood is the only odd thing on this jeep. The guy before me either hand made this or cut something up. Its all fiberglass, is a bifold, and is clamped down but the center flaps up and down while you are going at fast speeds. I have an original 53 cj2a hood that I will include only if the car sells for the asking price, other wise I can resell it.
In the 6 years Ive own this jeep I havent driven it more than 2000 miles and thats being generous. Has been garage kept. Previous owner owned it since it was put together. He was also a welding teacher so a lot of things are welded, like the roll bar to the windshield (which is metal). Only selling because Im moving to a house w/ a smaller garage and have to sell one of my toys.”

The seller lists the year as a 1944 then notes in the comments it might be a 1946-1948. However, I’d say it’s more like a CJ-3A. The seller also notes the body is in great shape, clearly ignoring the patches along both sides of the body. I love the authentic bullet holes in the glass.
“NOT EXCATLY SURE OF DATE IT WAS MADE(46-48) BUT ITS IN GREAT SHAPE 4 BEING SO OLD. WILL RUN WITH A LITTLE TLC. THE MILAGE IS NOT RIGHT CAUSE LIKE I SAID ITS NEEDS TLC. THIS WILLY IS STRAGHT OUT OF WWII. THE BODY IS IN GREAT SHAPE WITH A STURDY FRAME. BEEN SITTING IN A SHED FOR LIKE 10 YEARS AT LEAST.”

“It’s a DJ body on a CJ3A chassis , motor , and drivetrain. Motor is a flathead 4cyl. It’s also 4WD. Runs but needs work. It’s a complete Jeep only missing seats and gas tank.”
If you look closely at the grille, you can see how it has been extended so that the front clip can properly fit the 1972 CJ-5 frame.
