Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (07/01/2009) This has a fiberglass tilt front clip and a fiberglass body. It could use a paint job at the very least.

(01/24/2010) It’s a bit dirty, but sounds like it’s in solid shape.
“-I have had it for about a year and a half i put a 4in lift and 34in super swamper ltb tires
-it has a 327 with ported heads, oversized cam, edelbrock carb and intake, newer distributer plugs and wires
-the tranny is a muncie 4 speed out of a 68 camaro, stock transfer case with the warn overdrive lever ( it has 4 shifters total)
-it has stock axles with 5.38 gears
I drive it down the freeway at 60mph and there isnt any shake to it. it has never broke down on me and runs very strong and has more than enough power (i have pulled the front tires off the ground a few times). I have taken it wheelin and it does great but the body has zero dents in it and absolutely no rust what so ever. The only difference from the pics is i put black wheels on it and painted the diamond plate corners black. The paint is in good shape but it does have scratches in the paint. I am sking 4300obo and will consider trades for 95 or newer honda or something like it.”
There might be some value?

(05/14/2010) It appears to have a MB windshield. The rims are quite unusual. I’d like a closeup look at those. It looks in great shape.

(09/05/2010) This appears to be a pretty stock Jeep in reasonable condition. It appears to have the vacuum tube for the wipers.

The outside of the body looks good, but check out the inside of the rear cargo area. The driver’s side wheel-well sides have been beat up pretty well.

“I have a 1950 Willys Jeep CJ3A for sale. This vehicle is partly restored and has a: new clutch, new pressure plate, new t.o. bearing carrier, new t.o. bearing, new complete clutch linkage repacement, resealed transfer case, trans bearings, new second gear, new 2/3 synchros, new 2/3 slider gear replaced, 5 new NDT military tires from Coker Vintage Tire Co., new tailgate, new turn signal switch, both tail light assemblies with replica NACO units, new voltage regulator, new seat covers, new fuel tank, new fuel lines. The body is in reasonable to good condition with minimal defects for its age. (see pics). I’m asking $4000.00 but will consider any reasonalbe offer. I currently have far more invested in this project than the asking price but have a more important project to finish, (home remodel)”

This is a nice looking CJ-3A, but it isn’t all original except for the 12 volt.
“1953 Willys Jep CJ2A. Completly restored. Excllent condition. Has Two tops ,full cloth and bimini top cloth. Has 5 orginal rims and 4 new larger rims and tires. Has large original winch from the 50’s Drives great. Storing space and My ability to enter and exit the vehicle force me to sell. It has been converted to the 12volt system that is the only thing that is not original, See Photos,call for serious inquries only. For jeep lovers these this vehicle is a must. Jeeps in the 50’s still running are hard to find,and in this condition are very rare. JEEP ALSO COMES WITH TOW BAR”
