This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Street, strip or sand, this 1952 Willys is ready to play! While the clean title, which I have in hand, says it’s a 1952 Willys, I believe only the chassis, which has been boxed, is original. Blueprinted Aluminum GM V8 406ci/7.0l block. Aluminum Dart heads. That’s hooked up to a cutch-Turbo 400 transmission with scatter shield controlled B&M Pro Ratchet automatic shifter attached to a 3/4 ton 205 transfer case. Custom built heavy duty drive shafts to professionally built 35 spline axels. Dana 60 with locker and 5.08 gears in rear and Dana 44 with 4.88 gears in front. Street tires are brand new. Sand tires and wheels are also new. Extra set of wheels included if you want to mount slicks!
The rig is up and running/stopping but should be gone through before pushing it hard. It was parked for several years in an Arizona garage. Was plated in CA. Has break lights, headlights, turn signals. It’s an estate sale. Really cool, but not my jam. Trailer with tire rack available.”

Seems like there’s some value here. It does look to be a CJ-3A, based on the bodies’ dash, the radiator setup, and the lack of front frame horns.

Frame and engine are in good shape, the engine turns over, is not seized. Has new brake lines and includes a new carburetor. All Jeep parts in the photos go with it; muffler, exhaust pipe, radiator, all body parts, drive shafts, steering assembly, etc. As with most of these Jeeps, the body (tub) is fair to poor.”

“1951 Willys CJ-3A. M38 windshield and body. Starts right up, runs good, no mechanical issues. L134 flathead engine. Carb just rebuilt, brakes were rebuilt last year, new battery, electrical system converted to 12 volt, fluids changed regularly. Has some rust underneath but overall a solid old Jeep that just needs someone that has the time to spend taking care of a 70 year old machine. Title in hand”
This appears to have a CJ-2A chassis, but, given it lacks the 2A ignition hold in the dash, it might have a 3A body.
