Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I always laugh when I see the “it ran when parked” comment.
“This is a WIlly’s jeep that is a project. I just want the thing out of my garage. My husband bought it from my brother five years ago and promised to have it running within a year. Now I just want my garage back. $1200 OBO…price is not firm
When the jeep was parked it was running with the new motor, but it needed new wiring. The jeep does have the hood, tailgate, and door frames…”

This has got a fiberglass body.
“4×4 fiberglass body with steel grill hood and windshield frame, flathead 4 cyinder, runs great!, will consider trade or part trade for a full sized p/up with 8 foot bed road worthy. some work needed O.K.”
UPDATE: There were two projects, but it appears now there is only one.

I didn’t get many specifics on this build, other than it is a barn find that was carefully rebuilt and is located in or near deer park, washington. There are lots of great details on it. Thanks for the pics Michelle!

The price on this project will drop. This could also be a rare ’49 CJ-2A.

“This is a 1949 Willy’s Jeep that is owned by my wife’s uncle. It used to be his daily driver but doesn’t run now. “1949 Jeep with trailer. Original body and frame. Fresh GM V6 engine with crane cam, edel brock manifold and 600 CFM carb., AX-15 five speed trans. with OD. New radiator and power steering. New tires and wheels (6). Small crack in finish in middle of hood. Runs great, always a hit in parades and shows. Successful bidder may drive. Guaranteed no disappointments. Located in Anderson, SC.”

“1949 Willys Jeep in middle of restoration. Chassis has been sandblasted primed and painted, tub body has been sandblasted and primed. has all new brakes and lines, new clutch, motor mounts, fuel pump rebuilt, engine has been painted, new fluid in axles. I have all body parts including, front fenders, hood, tailgate, windshield frame and windshield, 4 matching wheels, radiator, alternator, and many other misc. parts. Only selling because loss of interest. Can be seen any weeknight after 6pm and on the weekends. Will deliver locally for a small fee.”
