Looks like a pretty good price for what’s there. Maybe it even runs?

UPDATE: this nice flattie is still available.
The Chevy 181 appears to be a 3.0 Liter Marine engine, which is likely a nice 4cyl for the jeep. This jeep is likely worth a closer look.
“1951 Willys Flatfender Jeep in great shape. Chevy 181 4 cylinder engine with a synchronized 3 speed transmission and split- stick transfer case. “1951 Willys 4X4 Jeep Project. Solid body, Floors been replaced. No engine. Nice project”
Not to make fun of the paint job, but I really thought something was creating shadows over the jeep. Then, I looked at an interior pic and saw it had a strange camo paint job. I thought, ‘wait, that’s not on the outside of the jeep’. But, I was wrong, it is indeed some type of camo on the outside.
“1950 Willys Needs Title 4X4. Priced to sell at $2500 or best offer. I’ve had this for over a year… received it in a trade. New 327 engine. 205 Trasfer case. Dana 44. “im selling my 1951 willys jeep, it has a buick V6 and a snow plow on the front!! pleas call dutch”
UPDATE: Troy sent along a couple pics of his race jeep also. There’s one to the right and one down below.
Below is Troy’s street and trail CJ-3A. It’s been modified in a variety of ways, including a Dana 60 in the back, a Dana 44 in the front and lockers all around. Troy buys and sells stainless steel in the Northwest and is trying to decide whether to start adding more stainless steel or not to this jeep. His biggest concern is if he starts dressing it up too nice, he’ll be too afraid to bring it out to the trails. If this jeep does start growing stainless steel fenders, I doubt he’ll suffer too much as Troy will still have an opportunity to get dirty playing in his flat fender racing jeep that he calls “Twisted”.
Also, if you seek any stainless steel parts for your CJ-3A or CJ-3B, Troy assures me he can get them for you. You can contact him at jeepfrk50@comcast.net
UPDATE: The buyer of the jeep reported that these were Jewels fenders with the stickers still on them.
Here’s the deal for today. The stainless steel fenders (Jewels?) and warn overdrive may be worth $1700 alone. Also interesting, this might be a DJ-3A body, as I don’t see a tailgate; however, this might also just be some kind of mod as well.
“1953 Willy’s Jeep-work in progress- newer Ford 289, Warn overdrive, Dana 35 front/Dana 44 rear, Willy’s stamped hood, stainless fenders/grill, diamond plating in back of jeep, soft top with doors, second gas tank, and wiring harness. 1,700.”
**SOLD**
This CJ-3A appears to be in pretty good shape. I’m not a huge fan of the big bumpers, but not too bad otherwise.
“Engine updated to 289 V8, chrome wagon wheels with new tires, original seats 2 front and 1 rear bench, roll bar, red paint in fair condition. No vinyl top. Call 402-669-2675, leave a message if we don’t answer.”
We’ve a got a jeeper looking for a tub. Anyone have one near Bend?
“I’m looking for a CJ3A tub. Years 49-53 if possible. Would be willing to pay cash if it’s a good deal.”
The paint job makes it difficult to tell, but it looks like the side panel on the driver’s side is a bit rough (rust?) at the bottom edge. The top sure fits funkily …
