This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The Chevy 181 appears to be a 3.0 Liter Marine engine, which is likely a nice 4cyl for the jeep. This jeep is likely worth a closer look.

Not to make fun of the paint job, but I really thought something was creating shadows over the jeep. Then, I looked at an interior pic and saw it had a strange camo paint job. I thought, ‘wait, that’s not on the outside of the jeep’. But, I was wrong, it is indeed some type of camo on the outside.

UPDATE: Troy sent along a couple pics of his race jeep also. There’s one to the right and one down below.
Below is Troy’s street and trail CJ-3A. It’s been modified in a variety of ways, including a Dana 60 in the back, a Dana 44 in the front and lockers all around. Troy buys and sells stainless steel in the Northwest and is trying to decide whether to start adding more stainless steel or not to this jeep. His biggest concern is if he starts dressing it up too nice, he’ll be too afraid to bring it out to the trails. If this jeep does start growing stainless steel fenders, I doubt he’ll suffer too much as Troy will still have an opportunity to get dirty playing in his flat fender racing jeep that he calls “Twisted”.

UPDATE: The buyer of the jeep reported that these were Jewels fenders with the stickers still on them.
Here’s the deal for today. The stainless steel fenders (Jewels?) and warn overdrive may be worth $1700 alone. Also interesting, this might be a DJ-3A body, as I don’t see a tailgate; however, this might also just be some kind of mod as well.

This CJ-3A appears to be in pretty good shape. I’m not a huge fan of the big bumpers, but not too bad otherwise.

We’ve a got a jeeper looking for a tub. Anyone have one near Bend?

The paint job makes it difficult to tell, but it looks like the side panel on the driver’s side is a bit rough (rust?) at the bottom edge. The top sure fits funkily …
