Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
It’s listed as a ’46, but it probably isn’t. The body is very interesting. It has no drain holes, the hood doesn’t have ‘Willys’ on it, and this has tool indents with what appear to be tool attachments. It could be a replacement body.
“This Jeep was last started 8 years ago and may or may not run now. It has been garaged for at least the last 20 years and has little to no rust. The one picture shows it with the soft top which I still have, but is not on the Jeep now. The tires are like new and in remarkably good condition.”

(09/13/2012) It needs some work.
“1953 Willys cj3b, has original axles with new ring and pinion and seals. Has original trans and driveline, Block was bad, have head, carb, starter and various other parts to f-134. Body is in good shape for year, no major rot or damage, floorboards are 100%. I have set of BF Goodrich’s on alloy rims that come with jeep. Has new master cylinder and most of brakelines replaced as well. Has no windshield. Started restoration and don’t have time to finish, thanks.
Lee spotted this CJ-3b. It needs work.
“1953 Willys CJ3B with Chevy V8. Motor does run, needs fuel pump installed (have one), will fire with gas down carb.
Needs work, not a turn-key. Brakes, clutch, some wiring, have seats but need to be upholstered, no top or doors.
Have 2 military wheels to go with it as well.

“This thing is wild! 383 Stroker Motor with Edelbrock Weber “Pro-Flo Fuel Injection”. Accel Ignition, 4 Core Aluminum Radiator-The Works. Dana 44s Front and Rear with Detroit Lockers in each! High Strength Summers Brothers Axles in Both Front and Rear with High steer set up-not gonna break! Turbo 350 Tranny and a T18 Transfer Case(3 stick). Art Carr Shifter, Race Seats, Full Cage and Ramsey 8000lb. Winch. Tall Hood. 4 Wheel Disc Brakes and a Heater. Hold on to the Grant Steering Wheel smoothly at 65 mph down the HWY.”
If the rust situation is minimal, this might be a good price.

“1954 Willy’s cj3b, Frame off restoration, 351 Windsor w/Roush heads, Comp cam, MSD electronics, Edelbrock, Stay Cool, Rancho, Fuel Cell, 33’s, 3 speed w/overdrive, locking hubs all around, Two tops w/frame rails and doors, 1000 watt amp w/cd, Rack and Jack…etc……Too much to list……Have receipts for 30k.
This jeep is a great toy, geared low with lots of torque…

This has an updated motor.
“This is a 1954 jeep it is lifted and needs a little body work but for the age of the jeep it is in good shape.
it has very little rust no dents and all gauges work.
4×4 works good and the high and low range work. It has a Buick V8 215 small block aluminum motor in it and i just had both drive lines replaced by six states.”
