Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This 1967 Jeep CJ-5 is finished in metallic blue over gray upholstery and powered by a 225ci Dauntless V6 paired with a three-speed manual transmission and two-speed transfer case. Equipment includes a black bikini top and soft doors as well as a roll bar, a tow ball, a fold-down windshield, an aftermarket stereo, custom bumpers, manually locking front hubs, and 15″ alloy wheels. The selling dealer states the truck was repainted and the interior was refreshed before it was acquired by them in 2021, and subsequent work included replacing a radiator hose and adjustment of the brakes. This CJ-5 is now offered at no reserve with a clean Ohio title…”

My friend Joe in Pennsylvania is looking to sell his jeeps. He’s got a variety of flat fenders, including “Rusty“, a 1956 DJ-3A I sold him back in 2019. All four of these have good PA titles. Listed as a CJ-5, it seems more like an M-38A1.
