This is a project. This appears to be a rare Right-hand-drive DJ-5 with the correct 8505025 serial number prefix (as opposed to the DJ-5 Dispatchers made for the post office).

We started to restore it but no longer have the time.
4 New Military Tires
New Carburetor,
New hoses, New fan belt, New air in-take. New Radiator & New Thermostat.
Changed all fluids, did tune up. Turned it over to do compression test.
2 New Seats to go in, plus an extra bus seat for the back.
I started to sand it to have it rhino lined military green. We also have vendor for windshield glass and gasket.

This looks in pretty good shape. There are a variety of DJ-5s on Facebook for sale, unlike Craigslist which doesn’t show any for the southeast region. Listing jeeps (and other items) on FB, and not Craigslist, continues to be the trend.

“This 1974 Jeep/Am General is powered by a 232 inline six with a Borg/Warren Automatic Transmission. Don’t have doors and no glass except in front window. Has 2 reconditioned seats and new mirrors. Does not have power steering or power brakes.”

Unfortunately, the driver’s side portion of the body has been hacked. The serial number of 8505025 identifies this as a Right Hand Drive DJ-5.

“Runs and drives very well, ive had quite alot of fun with this thing over the summer. Its definitely a head turner and people really do seem to enjoy it. Clean title in hand Please be aware this vehicle is only 2wd as well as right hand drive. The jeep currently has an 232 6cyl engine Automatic transmission Dana 44 rear with 3.07 gears Also included are all the parts I have that I intended to use to convert it to 4×4. This includes Cj5 frame and narrow track axles with 4.56 gears. Set of seats from a PT cruiser that will bolt right in. Dana 300 transfer case 2 AMC 232 engines. One is good and ready to use one is locked up and for parts. Miscellaneous drivetrain related parts such as driveshafts and motor mounts”
