UPDATE: Status unknown. Was for trade.
(04/06/2021) There looks to be 2 CJ-3As, 3 CJ-5s, and a DJ-5. Sell has a very brief description.
“I have 6 jeeps
Any trades”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
This looks in reasonable shape. It wasn’t that long ago DJ-5s in this condition were selling for $1500.
“Runs and drives amazing …. new parts front tires, brakes, carb , full tune up, timing chain, belts, exhaust down pipe, speedo cluster , battery, heater core, blower motor blue tooth stereo. I drive it a fiew days a week . Fun to drive and it gets lots of comments.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1700.
(02/16/2021) This package could be a good price if the stainless body is in good shape.
“Postal jeep right hand drive no engine and transmission. No front end hood, grille and fenders. I have a complete stainless steel body parts for replacement that need to put it together.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $11,111.
I suspect the price is just a placeholder. It’s been almost two years since the last documented Safari-Kai popped up for sale. Here’s a brochure about the short-lived Safari-Kai business.
“1975 Jeep DJ5. Summertime is the perfect time for open air cruising and this little Jeep gets you where you want to go in style. Like new in appearance, this 2WD AMC Jeep DJ5 was completely reconditioned 25 years ago by Safari Kar International – one of only about 500 units built. It is economical and easy to drive with a reliable AMC in-line six cylinder engine, power steering and brakes, and a floor shifted 3 speed automatic transmission.
There are less than 1500 miles on the odometer since its rebirth as it was stored for over 20 years and has just emerged to give joy to a new generation. This is a great utility vehicle with new seats, a sturdy roll bar, a bimini top to provide some shade, a flawless Shamrock Green paint job, and new floor coverings. The tires show virtually no tread wear and the 15 inch chrome Centerline rims glitter like diamonds.
This is not the kind of luxury SUV with power accessories, air conditioning, and a stereo system. It is the kind of fun machine that is perfect for beach cruising, backroad touring or just use it in the neighborhood as an eye catching grocery getter. This is the kind of vehicle that will lure lots of new friends who will want to know all about it. There is no rust and only a little bit of dust. It has always been garaged, and it starts easily and runs great. It does not have a full top or doors, but who needs ‘em? Just hop in this breezy ride and seize the day. Carpe diem!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2200.
Just a fun little runabout jeep.
“Runs good and drives good, top , doors, cover for whole jeep, two wheel drive,”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
No engine or tranny, but this roller looks in good shape.
“Excellent condition for a 1982.Only 42,614 miles. No engine or transmission but have cores available. Put your own V8 and transmission in and go like a bat. Also have 4 more DJ5Ls for parts”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1800.
Given the dry climate, these might be in decent shape even though they’ve sat for a while.
“Pair of postal Jeep’s right hand drive 1 ran when parked 5 years ago clean Az title on the 1 that runs boxed frame heavy duty suspension for a rock crawler or rat rod or street rod $1800”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
This is a project. This appears to be a rare Right-hand-drive DJ-5 with the correct 8505025 serial number prefix (as opposed to the DJ-5 Dispatchers made for the post office).

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.
This looks in pretty good shape. There are a variety of DJ-5s on Facebook for sale, unlike Craigslist which doesn’t show any for the southeast region. Listing jeeps (and other items) on FB, and not Craigslist, continues to be the trend.
“This 1974 Jeep/Am General is powered by a 232 inline six with a Borg/Warren Automatic Transmission. Don’t have doors and no glass except in front window. Has 2 reconditioned seats and new mirrors. Does not have power steering or power brakes.”
