This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Original vintage negative by Chinese-American photographer Doris Nieh. This is a one of a kind vintage item from Doris Nieh’s estate. It was part of her personal archive. Doris Nieh was a photographer for Life Magazine and many other publications, she was also part of the social scene in Hollywood and New York in the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s. She was the official photographer for the 1966 film “The Sand Pebbles” directed by Robert Wise, starring Steve McQueen, Candice Bergen, Richard Attenborough, Richard Crenna and Mako. This is an unpublished and unseen photograph from an academy award winning classic movie, a great find and a rare opportunity to own a unique piece of Hollywood history.”

Here’s another look from the front of the jeep. This photo was taken a few years ago when it was inside.
Ron Day found this old photo he took showing a group of spectators and their vehicles at a race sponsored by the Jeep Jockeys Jeep Club sometime in the late 1970’s or early 80’s. This is west of Yakima, Washington near the small community of Tampico.
Here’s an odd vintage photo.

The two-tone truck was front page news in the April 1956 issue of Willys News.
UPDATE: Sold on eBay for $26.00
“This auction consists of two items: a heavily illustrated 68-page Jeep Vehicle Catalog and Parts Price List number 12 dated January 1956 for a company called Jeep Service Dipl.Ing. E. Stahl & Co. in Vienna, Austria, AND a 12-page parts price list dated 1 January 1956 for the US Military Model MB jeep from the same firm. The smaller catalog is attached inside the front cover of the larger 6 x 8-¼ inch catalog.”
Unfortunately, the seller didn’t provide the entire photo in one shot. It felt like it was raining like that on Saturday on Long Island!
