This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (06/16/2016) “99% original, never restored. New roof canvas with doors, motor was rebuilt about 5000k miles ago. Runs well. Have spare hood in good shape, 2 good used front fenders ready for paint, spare radiator, spare steering box, assorted miscellaneous other parts, and stretchers.
Been in storage for 5 years, gas tank drained, has silicone brake fluid.”

“For sale a 1955 Willys M170 Military Ambulance. This vehicle does not have a title. It has very minor rust through. It has several original pieces. The drive train is still the 24-volt electrical system. The engine is not stuck from sitting; however, it does have a stuck valve so will not run. The transmission and transfer case do shift. The tires are not so good. This is a project jeep. Not very many of these were manufactured. Rare jeep. Please look at the pictures closely. I will not reply to is it available. $6000”

“Jeep is in its original condition from the military, our county got it from the Illinois emergency service agency in 1980 and by 1986 they parked it. It has been sitting ever since. Engine is stuck, comes with top with all the sides. I also have a lot of parts I have been collecting to get the Jeep running, I don’t have the time for it right now.”
Listed as a 1952, this is missing the correct fenders and lacks the hinged grille. It also has a V-6.
