About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
The engine is updated, but otherwise this looks stock and in good condition.
“I’ve had this military jeep since high school and converted it. Work included changing engine to a Ford 289 V8 and electrical system to 12V. Engine needs some work (carburetor, brakes) and tires. Has steel top, heater, rollbar, overdrive, Warn locking hubs. 4WD with tansfer case and high/low/takeoff shift positions. Looking for good home to owner who wants to help with second restore.”
The body doesn’t look like a M-38 tub. It’s missing the fuel inlet. Maybe it’s a mb/gpw tub?
“CA registered till dec 2013 jeep. 231 v6 with long flow headers. 3 speed with twin stick and warn overdrive. new best top tiger top cost $900. full roll cage jeep is complete and is a true m38 tub. I am 3rd owner since it was bought from government. low miles . has tow bar. great hunting rig and eye turner.”
This is a great restoration of a rare Ford M-38. I wish the pictures were bigger.

“1951 M-38 Willys Jeep with trailer for sale. Jeep was a communications Jeep in the Korean war. The jeep runs great, the floor board of the jeep does have some rust but wouldnt be a big deal to fix. The MFR Ser. No. is 33836 and is all original except the starter has been changed from 12 V to 24V, however, I still have all original parts and has an aftermarket leather top which is still in very good condition. Seats are also in good condition. Jeep also has a trailer and is included in the asking price (see pictures). Trailer has no thru rust. Jeep has been in my carport and is driven very minimally and would like to see it go to someone who will restore it. It has alot of potential.”
It’s got some parts, but hard to say just how much value there is.

The jeep has the front and rear ends, complete motor, transmission, transfer, radiator and body. This sale is for PICKUP ONLY, NO SHIPPING AND FOR THE USA ONLY!!!!!!!”
This looks solid, but I think the paint needs a closer look. It appears uneven just under the driver’s side mirror.
“This Jeep was part of a motor pool at an air museum for 20 years as a flight line/follow me Jeep. Go Devil motor runs great. No rust. ALL gauges and lights work as they should. Running on 12 volt, converted from 24 volt.
