About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
It does look pretty complete, exactly what this is not sure, looks tied to M-38 based on the tag, but others would know better. (another was posted 3 Weeks Ago, they have not marked stuff sold regularly but they have marked stuff SOLD, so who knows)
Information from seller:
I have a arctic top off my Willy’s mb. Top would have originally came on a Willy’s m38 or cj2a. Top and doors are made of aluminum and are in really good condition. The glass is all there. Asking $800 obo
Photos are a little criss crossed, but looks like an M38, was redone at some point. Needs some clean up and see what is all here.
Information from seller:
1947 Willys jeep fully restored sat in my grandfathers garage for 5 years, I inherited it and he had passed away when I was deployed to Iraq I was planning on getting it running but motor will not turn over and the back left tire is locked up. I don’t have the time to fix it, Overall Jeep is in immaculate condition a little surface rust on body and on front bumper. But it’s very well taken care of. Best offer or trade for two quads or a camper, cash and trade or just trade.
M38 Jeep for parts. NO TITLE. Being sold for PARTS. Tub is junk. Frame is decent. The gold here is the complete 540 PTO, front electric winch, and the Buick V6 adapted in it. 2400.00 obo in State College PA Not selling it by the piece. What you see is what you get. Loose parts inside the tub are no longer in it.
Reads like has some new and needs some stuff, but overall looks very solid in the photos.

1954 Model M38-CJ3A $3,500 Parrish, AL ESTATE SALE 7-10 to 7-12
Time sensitive on this one and it may not be there, but listed as a M38-A1, it might be a CJ3B with the spare on the side and the headlights look fancy, but it looks to have a full floating rear out back and the hoop deal on the side of the tub, if anyone goes let us know what you find here.
Information from seller:
This is part of an estate, so please see the blue photo.
So here is where I don’t do very well and why I always defer to the experts to correct and help me along to figure these out, with only 3 pictures posted and a short video I don’t have all the details for myself to determine if this is a CJ painted OD or if it is a M38. Post says they have several hoods, the hood could be in the mix since they have several. For a ’47 the grill looks earlier to me anyway for it to be a ’47 CJ Grill. I bet folks can tell a lot about the back shot with the fuel can area and tire mount. So I’m going with Willys Salad to be on the safe side on this for the following reasons and happy to adjust.
Here are things that lead me to think it’s a M38:
Rear Tire Mount vs side mount.
Windshield frame, looks like it had the lower mounted wipers.
Front Grill light cutouts.
Headlight Bezels look a little different to me.
Air cleaner and oil filter is much more robust looking to me. (Photo not posted it was a video in the post)
Here are things that lead me to think it’s a CJ:
Smaller filler for gas tank,
Missing some brackets and lights around the tub.
Hood says Willys on it.
Has the step on the side.
Conclusion:
Enjoy it, drive it, have fun for whatever it turns out to be, I like it, pretty solid rig looks well cared for so have a look if in the market.
As always feel free to inform me of how off base I am, always happy to learn about these rigs.
Information from seller:
Titled 47 Willy’s Jeep. Runs and drives. The tires are almost new military tires. Comes with lots of spare parts that I’ve kept over the years. I have a couple of extra hoods and a grill for it. If you would like more info and pics I can provide that to Serious Inquiries. I won’t respond to ” is this available”.
