Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This has an M-38 body. No description provided. The “WILLYS” branding on the hood is incorrectly placed. I’d have to guess that the hood is also from an M-38.

“Craftsman Special Have a willys jeep for sale. Frame has been overhauled with new or nos parts. Engine, transmission transfer case all rebuilt with new parts, 24volt system, new tub, fenders, tires, springs, brakes, brake lines, and hoses, shackles ect… Restoration service is available. Current build has 15,000.00 plus invested. Hold a clean Pa title. Lots here that I am not mentioning, you have to come look at it and determine if it’s in your ability to take it from this point, weather doing it yourself or having professional body and mechanical restoration. “1954 Willys Jeep, has chopped 1982 Chevy Luv 4×4 frame, engine,
trans, etc, runs pretty good, drives down the road, 4 linked rear, crappy tires hold air, 4×4 seems to work ok, has new windshield glass and battery, fresh oil. NO TITLE, I was just building me a toy, $3000, may take weapons on partial trades”
Listed as a CJ-3A, it looks more like an M-38.

“1950 Willys Cj3a, 231 Buick V6, T90 3spd with OD. Rebuilt Starter, Carburetor, New water pump, Radiator, New Best top needs to be installed yet. Runs and drives sound, Would Trade for a Three or Four Horse trailer Slant Load or 5600 Cash”
This appears to have a replacement body (no cowl battery box lid). The grille and frame also don’t appear setup for an M-38 grille. The hood looks M-38.
“1953 Jeep Willys M38 with L-134 motor. This truck came from Vegas and the party I bought it from got it from Arizona where it was restored in the 90’s. This Jeep is completely rust free and absolutely solid. The inner tub was rhino lined and the frame was painted. The Jeep runs great and idles great. I rebuilt the king pin bearings, steering knuckles, drag link and bell crank so it drives straight with no death wobble.
I also rebuilt the steering box and got a new NOS sector shaft for the larger Ross box that are extremely hard to find. New gas tank and fuel pump New battery Rebuilt drag link, bell crank, king pin bearings, steering knuckles New front brakes and wheel bearings Rebuilt steering box with new sector shaft Rear gas tank rack and 2 tanks The truck has a custom built roll cage with KC lights. 12 volt conversion, electronic ignition, rebuilt alternator, functional winch, tow bar and tachometer.

“Jeep is a project, needs radiator installed, grill put back on as well as new motor mounts welded in. New mounts come with as well as new belts/water pump and so on also comes with some 36” swampers a narrowed down currie 9”(bolts right in) as well as a sm420 trans and dana 18 to put into it. Has a 283sbc in it now with stock 3 speed manual and dana 18 t case”

Jeep runs and drives excellent. Many extras included with this Jeep are tow bar with chains, extra transmission, off road lights, extra set of lockout hubs, Jerry cans, cb radio. The Jeep came from California and has not rust.
