UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500.
It could be a good price.
“Runs good new tires new batteries, new seats ,nice paint, 24 volt system, just about rust free.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $12,500.
Nice looking M-38A1.
“1955 Military Jeep. This is a communications model jeep, which has an overdrive transmission. The jeep was restored a few years ago, and the only part of the jeep that is not correct is the rims and tires. They were changed out for a more comfortable ride on the pavement. I do not have the original rims and tires anymore. The jeep runs and looks great. $15,000 OBO. Serious inquires only, and no brokers please. Clean Title and ready to go.”
Seems there is some parts’ value on this at the very least.
“80% original, turns over, new starter and batteries. needs gas tank. no title, price firm, text preferred. can be seen in mornings or weekend.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
Craig spotted this interesting find. It seems the seller wants to sell either the M-38A1 or a 1967 London Taxi. I’m thinking the London Taxi is a cooler choice!
“Your choice jeep almost done the other needs work.1- 1955 willys M38A1 jeep just about parade ready 100%complete only missing b.o. light on fender correct only engine and 12v system changed. 6cyl. ford. 2 REAL DEAL 1967 London black cab 100% complete with history down to meter and jump seats .2.2 diesel smokes so I am pulling for rebuild or swap serious calls only”
I like this for the price.
“Jeep is complete and running with rebuilt engine and spare engines. Has new side doors with canvas sides. Asking $7500 OBO.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $750.
(10/18/2016) “I have for sale a Jeep. It is missing the motor and transmission. It’s good and solid. It does have the serial plate on it as well.
I’m asking $750 for it. For more information please contact me at the number listed.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
(01/082017) A pretty rare late model Canadian M-38A1. Engine looks good, but needs body work at the ver least.
“Selling a 1970 m38a1 CDN 3 military Jeep. I bought it last year to fix up but I have too many projects. It runs good. It will need batteries, fuel tank repaired, body work all the way around. It needs the front passenger side axle shaft replaced as well. The frame is good, needs the rear cross member. Includes the soft top hard ware and metal pieces for doors and side curtains. Comes with a set of nice fenders from a DJ. I have the front seats also. Sold with a bill of sale only as VT does not title vehicles over 15 years old. Located in Colchester, VT. I can get it loaded on your trailer. Cash only, no trades.”
No pics provided.
“This jeep is in good original condition. Just hit 40,000 miles. Jeep is close to being 100% original. Replaced batteries and motor was rebuilt less than 300 miles ago. Runs and drives great. Would make the perfect candidate if you wanted to do a frame off restoration there is no rust in the vehicle or frame. You could keep the vehicle just like it is and enjoy its originality. ”

Looks like there some value here. Seller has “$200” as the price. I don’t know if that includes everything or not.
“I have a mix of extra parts that came with a 1955 M38a1 Willys Military Jeep I am restoring including used Fenders, Dash, rear seat cushions, drive lines, windshield gasket, radiator, aftermarket light bar, roll bar, and a number of smaller parts that could be used or sold piecemeal for more.
Fenders and dash have been media blasted clean. Fenders have some body damage, dash has a radio cut out spot, mostly 1950s era parts not new. (The rear seat in the first two pictures has sold)
I get to Boise weekly usually and could also meet up that way.
For sale or trade.
I am looking for a rear power takeoff and front and rear winch drivelines for my 1955 M38a1 and will look at other types of trades as well.”
