I don’t often see a hood scoop on an M-38A1/CJ-5 hood. I thought that was interesting. Has lots of other updates.

“Family owned Jeep for the last 19 years, time to let it go. New projects.
Body style is a CJ5 style.
Dana 30 front, ARB open knuckles and disk brakes, 5.38 ratio
Dana 44 offset rear,drum brakes, 5.38 ratio
Leaf Spring suspension with spring over
Warn front hubs
Tires are 33″ plus spare
Motor is a Ford 302 with Holley Pro-Injection
Transmission is a manual 4 speed T-18
Transfer case is a Dana 18
Warn overdrive
After market radiator and Mark VII electric fan
High output Alternator
On board Air
Ice chest rack and spare tire carrier
Warn 8274 winch 8000# ( I may keep the winch depending on selling price of jeep, these are worth $2k)
Soft top and soft doors
Extra set of stock front axles”

Is that supposed to be a Netherlands flag on the hood?

“This jeep is in good original condition. Just hit 40,000 miles. Jeep is close to being 100% original. Replaced batteries and motor was rebuilt less than 300 miles ago. Runs and drives great. Would make the perfect candidate if you wanted to do a frame off restoration there is no rust in the vehicle or frame. You could keep the vehicle just like it is and enjoy its originality.”

“Last person bailed on our agreement. would like find it a new home before storing it for the winter!!

This m38a1 is slightly modified it has a about a 3 inch shackle lift with upgraded springs, a 1978 buick v6, a warn over drive unit, has been converted to 12v and the seats were jus redone. Everthing else is stock. Body is in above average shape compared to the others on craigslist but it is not a beauty queen. This jeep has done everything I’ve wanted it to do.”

(10/07/2016) It’s not running. It looks to have a Buick V6 with an Edelbrock dual plane intake. It’s not clear to me what the hydraulics were for (not much need for a snow plow in Clovis). This does have the aftermarket dash (I’ve yet to find an ad for it) and half doors, similar but not quite like the harris Dura-Door (seen below). They were made in Bakersfield, so that explains why they are seen on so mostly California jeeps. Here’s an example ad:

“Jeep Willys does run. Body’s is in decent shape. I bought as project but ended up getting another project (a Harley) and can afford to do both so I’m selling the jeep. It will need to be towed because it has no brakes. Well the brakes are there but they have been sitting for years. It has a engine swap some kind of v6. New battery. Carb was just redone by CADs on Fresno. Needs lots of tlc. But is a really cool jeep. I’d be willing to sell or maybe trade for small truck or Harley parts and cash. My
Bike is a 98 Dyna FXD so I need Evo parts. Like a pumped up engine. In no rush sell and need no help selling. Jeep is on non op.”
