About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Not much here, the issue I could see with this is the plows put a lot of stress on the frame of the truck and the ones I have seen and actually have, they are much longer and extend back almost behind the cab and distribute the force. But then the frame winds up breaking right behind that so IDK. But if you just need the front part could be a quick pick up for some parts.
Maybe there are more parts to this one.
Information from seller:
Plow frame from old Willys truck electric motor works but piston doesn’t $50.
(Tim’s Notes: I got mixed up on one of Andy’s emails, working through posting what I can from that batch, but this was still up for the photos and may help someone in the future, but it’s Sold)

What makes this one interesting is the hard top and the winch (and the title)…of course you need to be local for this one to be worthwhile. (Bid is currently only $205)
Pto for jeep willys, complete all 3 pcs, pto gear box, driveshaft and pc that goes on transfer case with shifter. Fits Dana spicer 18. Cash only and local pick up. Located 10 min west of pittsburgh airport. Was on a cj2a.
Bids on this are currently $5, and for that price this is a great deal–but really only if you live in the Goldsboro area (and hoping someone on eWillys is…) But once you add in shipping and handling (you’d have to check with the auctioneers to get an estimate) this likely becomes only an “ok deal”.
Probably a good core…but let’s say handling is $10-15 (handling fees for this auctioneer run from $5 to $23…) and shipping is $20+, and you also have to pay the auctioneer’s commission…and all of a sudden you’re paying $45+ for what looks like a great auction find if you need to have it shipped.
Lesson is when using these types of auctions, shipping and handling can be much higher than expected, and those costs need to be factored in.
But all that goes away if you’re local and can simply pick this up….
A Note on Auctions
See the end of this post for some hints and tips about bidding on these types of auctions.
This is a great piece, super clean and great patina, I would not over restore this one, clean it up, make it look nice, but don’t over do it and ruin the age and beauty of this one. It’s a good one.
Clean looking, speedo needle is intact, gauges look clean. Lists as a 1948, its 0-80 so could be on the money there. It’s a neat piece someone should swing by and save this one. It would be in my pile for sure. Glady pay you Tuesday for a Willys Speedometer today. I have a rig that could use this one.
Information from seller:
Willys Overland speedometer {1948} with zero miles showing . Some wiring still attached Great for early jeeps ,or Rat rod
Willys MB Military WW2 Jeep Front and Rear Axles with Springs – $175 Lowville, NY
I’m not well versed in MB parts, so happy to get an assist and update the post, they are full floating axles so they could be the part. I know the MB stuff had some different adjusters for the shoes at times, there are some different looking shields on the front axles on top of the knuckles.
Let me know what you think.
As far as Axles go, these are nice looking for sure worth $175 all day long it’s a good deal if they are half decent inside. I don’t see the risk here for the price load and go, then figure it out at home, pop the covers and see what’s awaiting, I can smell it now, wonder why they don’t make an “Old Axle” candle scent, or even Old Spice folks out there, there is an untapped market here! (You don’t have to wonder why we will never match Dave in number of posts when I get down the rabbit hole on a set of $175 axles and the $80 Speedo, but these are decent looking parts to save!)
