Glenn Woudenberg wrote me a note saying this pedal jeep was spotted at a Bazaar in Mumbai, India. That seems to me to be a good excuse to go to India. It kind of has a ‘high hood’ feel to it. The wheels look similar to a Tri-ang.

1976 an Empire Blue Jeep w/ Trailer on eBay
If I weren’t saving for our March California trip, I’d bid on this pair.
“For your consideration is an Empire & Carolina Enterprises plastic jeep and trailer (1976). The jeep measures 16 inches long. These are in overall good condition with wear, marks, scratches, and bends. The trailer has a broken hook, but these will display very nicely.”
Mitsubishi CJ-3B Toy on eBay
I don’t know how rare this toy is, but it looks like an interesting piece. I googled to find another example, but couldn’t locate one. This toy is located in Mexico, so know that before purchasing it. Given the Mad Max label on the box, I’m wondering if this is more like mid 1980s?
“VINTAGE RARE AND NICE, ALITALIA MITSUBISHI JEEP J52, MADE IN JAPAN CIRCA 70’S. In 1965 A.C Gilbert Company went bankrupt in 1967, so with the financial issues, they didn’t make a massive run of production on sets before than.”

Wind up Fire Brigade Jeep
This looks like a neat old toy.
“From warehouse find: super nice and now rare sturdy tinplate Fire Brigade Jeep with trailer.
The toy is completely made of thick tinplate, except for the figures, fire hose and ladders. It has a total length of 10½” (270 mm).
The toy was made by the small firm of Joyax of France, between 1953 and 1978.
The toy is in mint condition but has some minimal production traces.
It has a classic wire spring mechanism and in it comes in its absolutely stunning box. Please check the 4th picture where you can see that the manufacturer used recycled tin to produce these toys. The part of the text visible relates to a battery ;)”
