About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
I have a pair of mid 60’s Jeep gladiators. These are major projects or parts cars. Blue one has a straight 6 cab is rough possible frame damage but front clip is nice. Red one is a v8 little more solid but still rough. I am working on getting titles for both. Blue one was a barn find red one was a feild find. I was going to put one together out of the two but I have realized I have an ample amount of projects. Would like to sell as a pair but would separate. Would consider trades for things with motors. Looking for a decent c10 k10 square body roller.
I put this around ’53 has the small back window, the doors earlier with the push buttons, unfortently not enough here for the $1k asking price, but says OBO / May Trade, so never know. Has the WO gate and some smaller bits, still can’t make too much at this exact price point and it takes a lot of work and room to do these kind of part outs, so that limits the buying pool at times.
Information from seller:
I have a willys overland truck no motor no transmission or transfer case. Missing passenger front fender. Very rusty but would make great project. Floor boards rusted out. Frame seams solid. All wheels locked up. No title Asking $1000 obo may trade.
I probably first visited Northern CA back in like 2005 or 2006 and it was always one of those neat places. We stayed here in maybe 2010 a few of us cousins got an AirBNB and it was a blast.
With that said I’m sure a lot has changed since I have been out there, but still I would recommend if you wanted to go see a place that has a lot of neat places Northern CA and even Southern OR, like Glacier Lake are just amazing.
So back to this rig, I feel 5k is a little steep, but there are some finer details to this one that are still present, but it’s been a long road for this rig.
Information from seller:
Its a 1950s Willis jeep truck it is a rolling chassis its a great project truck it has no motor or transmission for sale not looking to trade.
Previously on eWillys:They are in search of a Heater for Len’s project, I recommended Mid West Willys, if you have a lead on a heater for this please pass any leads.
BAT Auction was sent over by John and then also Andy, was supposed to publish on Saturday but did not list it for some reason.
This is a really nice example.
Information from seller:
This 1959 Willys Jeep fire truck served the National Park Service and other federal agencies in the Southwestern US as recently as the 1990s before spending the following years on display in private collections. Power comes from a 226ci Super Hurricane inline-six linked to a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, and equipment includes a PTO-driven water pump, a hose reel, a ladder, a siren, and spotlights. The truck is finished in red over gray upholstery and also features 15” steel wheels
, Watson manually locking front hubs, and drum brakes. Acquired by the current owner in 2022, this Willys fire truck is now offered by the seller on their behalf at no reserve with an operation manual, a maintenance logbook, spare parts, and a clean Montana title in the name of the owner’s LLC.
1958 Willy’s/Young Fire Truck from Lewiston, NY. Truck has only 7514 Miles on original engine. She runs well and needs complete restoration. Pump was rebuilt in 2019 and is included in sale. Super Hurricane I6 engine. Overall great candidate for restoration.
Little bit of history on the dealer sticker…
Power Drives Jeep was located @ 2439 South Park Ave Buffalo, NY and opened 10-25-1957.
Young Fire Equipment Corporation was an American fire apparatus manufacturer located in Buffalo, New York.
Request came over via email looking for a 1948 Willys Truck Heater.
If you know of a good lead I can pass on the information.
Just for reference here is a video from Don on amazing work he performed on the heater in Willa Dean a 1948 4T Truck.
Period correct heaters can be adapted and there were many aftermarket heaters at the time as I feel they were not a standard offering at the time. But the Willys Overland Badged units are pretty neat.
Parts rig as described, not original engine. Never heard of the 260, here is some search results on that one. So nice uptick in power from the Willys stuff, front distributor so no firewall concerns. Sounds like a good choice for a Willys. It’s going to be tight at the price point to part this out.
From Search…….
The Ford 260 V8 is a small-block engine from the Ford Windsor family, produced from 1962 to 1964 as a successor to the 221 V8. It has a \(260\text{\ cubic\ inch}\) (\(4.3\) L) displacement and a power output of around \(164\) horsepower. This engine was used in early models like the 1964 Falcon Sprint and 1964 1/2 Mustang before being replaced by the more powerful 289 V8.

Here are some BAT Willys Auctions that took place over the past few months. I think it’s good to keep an eye on the Market some folks are on top of this much more then I am, but I think its good to share a pic and some results, I left out some so head over and check out all the details on these.
Auctions can often miss classify the rig, so these are their names and years, good or bad.
Here are some Willys that have passed over the block at BAT recently.
