Andy shared a link to a large Auction that has many FC Vehicles, and some parts.
It’s located in Wavery, IA and ends on 6-25-25.
Dan G. has been helping with the Auctions lately, but I wanted to figure out if it was known the back story of the auction since it has such a large collection, I was not able to find too much but I did make the connection to Doug Pabst and it appears to be his collection. Reading through the obituary the second paragraph seems like he would fit in well with a lot of our community looking to preserve and keep these old rigs and keep them moving forward.
He enjoyed attending antique power shows where he frequently exhibited his antique tractors and gas engines. He attended local shows, shows in surrounding states, and even traveled as far as Pennsylvania for a show. He kept active in the old iron hobby and did not like to see things get scrapped out. Doug especially loved challenging projects considered impossible by most. Doug was outspoken and didn’t hesitate to share his opinions; he also had a soft side appreciated by those who knew and loved him.
Also I worked on this one yesterday quite a bit trying to figure out a format that would work to display these without just being another link through as I feel it’s a very large collection that deserves some time, so that took up my eWillys time for the day and I was not able to post much anything till later on in the evening.
Obituary of Doug Pabst:
John Douglas “Doug” Pabst, 81, of Waverly, Iowa, passed away on September 9, 2024, at his home.
Doug was born on August 6, 1943, north of Waverly, Iowa, the son of Lois Jeanette (Sparenborg) and John D. “Jack” Pabst. Doug grew up on a farm and attended school in Waverly. Following his graduation from Waverly-Shell Rock High School, Doug began his 30-year career as a welder and fabricator for John Deere. After his official retirement, Doug stayed busy with his hobby farm, garden tilling, fabricating trailers, and moving houses. He enjoyed many miscellaneous jobs and projects for his friends and neighbors. Doug was united in marriage to Vicki King, and to this union two children were born, Kelly and John D. Pabst, Jr. The couple later divorced.

Some cool events in June.
The Great Willys Picnic is this weekend, hope to see some of you out for that event.
Epic Willys Adventure returns for EWA6 The Great Mitten Race, we have their live map posted in the side bar and will repost updates and the larger map throughout the event.
It’s a really cool event, if you are in the Butler, PA area and wanted to check out their rides stop in and say hello at the Bantam Jeep Festival.

Site is running well, its been a very busy May, worked on some background stuff. Went to our local big show with the 63 Wagon, it was a big hit at the show with lots of questions and stories provided from folks.

1955 Willys CJ3B $18,000 Rigby, ID
Not much description, but if everything is new and rebuilt, you cant build this for the price listed, maybe they have a build book you can review the process of what went into this.
If it’s someone you know, happy to post more information.
Interior looks great, motor looks fresh, some paint details need some attention, maybe rework the rear lights there are some nice options for those around. If Im going that big would be nice to have some flood light off something like those in addition to the extra safety stuff for brakes and turn signal.
The factory lighting at times is such a small target now a days.

1952 Jeep CJ3A $20,000 Castle Rock, WA
Perfect contrast to the previous one, this looks like a nice build someone can go out and have some fun with this rig. Get in and go!
Diesels are heavy, but brakes are upgraded. Body is listed as original, so this is neat CJ. OD as well, lots of details to this one.

Steep on the price here IMO wow, but it is OBO, I would be so far apart on price would not toss an offer, but it’s good to see the rigs and what’s out there at times.
It does have a PTO winch out front, not sure on the exact set up here only a couple pictures handy to pull from.

Le choix d’un tracteur 1949 (Choosing a Tractor 1949)
This great resource was sent over to me from Harmen-Jan, I checked our catalog our here on eWillys and did not see it posted, also I jumped over to Farm Jeep to look for it over there and did not see it either.

It’s in French and you can adjust your CC to be in almost any language you would like to read the subtitles in, in case you are not familiar with French, which I am not. I actually probably watched it several times prior to putting on the CC and the production is really great, the narrator and the b and c track audio are really well done.
Head over to 7:12 seconds to the start of the video, I was unable to get it to link to the correct time in the viewer, I recommend heading back to the start of the video to watch the whole thing, it’s neat to see the equipment in action.
Overall as you will see in the video it a demonstration day of sorts in 1949 and the title of the video Le choix d’un tracteur 1949 translates to Choosing a Tractor 1949.
I wont be able to be the product expert in and be able to list off each and every manufacturer like Monroe and the sort, I hope you get some enjoyment out of this resource.

Lift Set Up
The multifunction mechanism appear to be very simple to operate but with that much mass off the back when I think about the process they are using its really neat how the got a lot of bang for the buck on these.
The hole digger is robust, the ingenuity to take that differential and transformer the equipment it pretty neat, once you start breaking it down into the smaller sub parts. Throughout the video you will see they really had these loaded up with optional PTO’s and controls for the up and down in, then the PTO all working together.
The trencher is interesting in that it scoops then the auger windrows the soil off to each side.

1965 Jeep J Series Truck $8,500 Rexburg, ID
This truck is pretty nice with some cool features, V8, Washer Bag set up, new retro radio with Aux but fits the vibe, the Jeep gas pedal is a really neat piece, V8 valve covers have some neat patina. There are a few ads from Rexburg area so can make a day trip and go see the sights.
