This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Running gear is from a vintage CJ2A. Body custom built. Equipped with stock 4 cyl engine, 3 spd trans, hi-lo range and 4 wheel drive. Mechanically strong, good tires. Good title and vintage plates. A lot of fun to drive and to look at. Good business mascot, parade vehicle or use on you acreage, at the cabin or lake.”

(03/14/2012) “2007 Willys CJ2A Trike w/ Chevy 4.3l TBI fuel injected V6 and 4sp auto Transmission. It is sitting on a Ford Thunderbird independent rear suspension and custom made frame and front end.The Willys body has been stretched 17″ in the rear section.Newer style roll bar with a new Softopper soft top/bikini top. Chevy Tahoe front seats Jeep CJ rear seat, custom 17 Gal aluminum tank. This is a 4 seater and in WI it does not have to conform to helmet laws, BUT it does to seat belt laws. so it works with little ones and car seats. I would be interested in trading for a 4door pickup, convertible, suv or newer big cycle. Let me know what you have”

“Have a 1946 Willys Jeep that runs, no title. 12v conversion. Will trade for 50s Chevy project truck or car or BO. Has a homemade 2″ square tube windshield frame/roll bar with plexiglass. I can remove the frame if need be.”

This is an unusual vehicle that is part of a business. It’s the whole business that’s for sale. The jeep itself is sort of an electric VEEP.

For sale is a custom built Willys electric jeep. The details of this vehicle are hard to describe, but it is essentially a 1949 Willys body sitting on a custom frame, VW front end drivetrain , and custom all Electric drive!

I ran across this unusual ad for the complete setup for an unusual 4×4 in the February 1964 issue of Four Wheeler Magazine. The prototypes and parts were being sold by Vic Hickey (or he was acting as an agent). Anyone have more information on this? It appears to be a four wheel drive dune buggy.

(12/01/2012) “This is a 1962 Willy’s Jeep Surrey Gala with 26,127 miles. It has been in our family for 30 years. We used the Jeep in parades only to advertise our business. Price $9,500.00. Only 1100 ever made. They came in Blue, Pink and Green. This jeep was refurbished from pink to red prior to us aquiring it. Serious collectors only please! It’s got an unusual cab.
