About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Sold as is, so block, head, pan, looks like crank is in it.
Not much to go along with this so it’s a gamble for sure, L134 can be re-sleeved, Willa Dean has 4 new sleeves in it back to factory spec. Sometimes you need a few to make one.
Information from seller:
Take out Willys Jeep motor can be used in a CJ2A, CJ3A, Truck or Jeepster. Sold as is just as seen in the pictures. $375 or best offer.
This would be in my truck on the way home from work if I was near by. Unless you see it run assume the worse case it does not , it’s 300 Willys Bucks not going break the budget either way.
I have all these engines and I call then cores, been all over NY, NJ, PA for them and never once did I try to turn one over or start anything, I think that’s a bad idea for this old iron.
Others want to see if it spins, some sellers want to show you that it runs, one time that actually took me over 18 months from the time I made contact till the time I bought the engine. They wanted to show me it ran, and I said sure I will come down and help get it running, my schedule and the sellers schedule never aligned but we talked say every 6 months kept in touch. Eventually bought it and yeah unfortunately never saw it run. It’s on the short list when I get fully in to the new building to at least get it running. Its a pump motor set up with an F134 on a run stand of sorts.
This is an interesting one – listed as a 1953, with potentially a Navy history (given the data plate). From an estate, but is running (supposedly a daily driver). Looks to have a later F-head engine swap (?)
Interesting hard top, maybe a winch, tire chains, tow bar, etc. – lots of potential goodies here. Will be interesting to watch this auction to see how much this goes for…
Video available on auction site as well (and seems to run quite well.)
Very neat CJ, the one issue I would have with this as a Plow Jeep is how do you keep the 12” of snow out of the Jeep with no Top its going to be rough going as a plow rig. But with some modifications and some repairs this would be neat to use as a plow rig. Eventually I would like to have a Willys to plow with at the house.
Information from seller:
1956 Jeep Willy’s, runs and idles great. Trans is free and so is transfer case but the clutch is stuck. Plow works. Engine and frame in great shape. Don’t need to sell but figured there might be a guy out there who would enjoy it more then me. Low ballers will be ignored. NO title, don’t text unless you have cash and a trailer
I will put this at 1967, 1968 era CJ5, I was not aware of the issue on finding the year for these. I figured click and clack a few keys to the normal places and get the year narrowed down, not so much. But as always learned a little bit along the way. Enjoy this possible one of the “Lost Year’s” Kaiser CJ5’s. Not many Willys Bucks for this one. Will say with a giant hole in the floor and losted as no body Rot, I guess the floor is technically not the Body to some, but I think it’s a very typical NE Rig here. Looks complete and like the other Blue CJ5 just posted in NJ.
This also has a Hard Top, V6 nice little project, lights are on the Plow. This is a cool Jeep.
Information from seller:
Snow plow jeep 4 wheel drive NO TITLE Good for parts or LOTS of TLC Engin I do believe is frozen Body has no rot on it See pictures
Guess we are doing Blue Jeeps in the NE today! But this is a head turner, nice restoration, wonder if they would sell it if my intentions were to toss a plow and hard top on this one and use it! Probably not is my guess. But is really nice did a great job on this one.
Information from seller:
Detailed restoration. Original engine and drivetrain. Everything rebuilt or new except transfer case.
Easy lift here if you are in the market for a 2A grab and go enjoy the rest of summer and fall seasons instantly! This is really nice as well, and its Blue in the NE so it makes the List! But it’s a sweet Willys for sure, and I feel you have room here at this price point to hunt down a few accessories like a PTO or Winch and make this your own still.
Information from seller:
Jeep was restored no corner cut.
The engine and trans were rebuilt.
New radiator, motor mounts and front drive shaft. Have receipts!
This is a completed restoration in 2022.
Here are some key notes to rebuild.
New Carb
Frame straitening and repair after acid dip.
Painted and then Rino lined.
Transfer case overhaul
New tires and rims ( 5 ) Spare tire carrier
Left and right fenders including mounting kit Body shell (tub)
Blue NE Jeep Day! But unfortunately its just the L134 not the entire Willys. Looks like maybe a ’47 – ’49 by those front grill marker lights. Little high for me on the price, I’m typically pretty happy with my engine picks and try not to over buy. At the same time if you need parts and pieces, your not going to your Local Napa and finding some of the smalls on these things, lots of smalls shown. Too high for me but for the right buyer this could be a good find. Mostly because I have over 14 Willys engines so you need to be selective at times!!! I would not post it if I did not think it had value to someone out there, but the Jeep it came out of was Blue so it gets a spot for today.
If you are trying to date code a project, these are the kinds of things you really need to go see, there are a ton of date codes on the parts and pieces, so serious post, I get requests for authentic date ear stuff often, and its desirable to certain people.
Information from seller:
When Motor was pulled, it ran and worked sitting in a trailer. I do have a machine to help you load it if interested send me your phone number or send me a message. Motor is for sale only Motor is for sale. Only Motor is for sale only.
Looks like it ran a few years back, has rear PTO, gang mower not listed but gives you an idea of the fun times ahead for the right person. Brakes can be over rated at times.
Information from seller:
1956 Willys CJ-5 “High-Hood” Project – Bill of Sale Only – $1,000 OBO NOT running and brakes don’t work – stored outdoors about five years. Last time it ran was 2022. 1952 Jeep Willys M38 and 1946 CJ-2A $4,800 Medford, NJ
The M38 has some cool stuff like the plow frame.
Information from seller:
PAIR (2) flat fender Willys…1952 M-38 runs & drives, body & frame are in poor condition. 1946 CJ-2A body will need floor replacement over all in good condition…frame is in very good condition. You can make one complete jeep or use them for parts. NO titles, only bill of sale. LOW BALL OFFERS WILL BE IGNORED…NO TRADES.
Selling my 1948 CJ-2A. Great Jeep and great for somebody looking to restore a jeep and to keep running and work on. The Jeep runs great. No problems. Only aftermarket parts on it is the radiator and the radiator reservoir everything else is original. Been really fun to own and drive and to work on. Again everything works and drives great for a 77 year old vehicle. Texting is the best way to reach me, thanks! The Jeep is located in Grantsville, Utah.
Price seems very good on this, not much detail in the Ad in general more of a sales ad which is not a bad thing, just can’t share that much about any back story here.
Looks legit straight and has a cool Hard Top, the Grill and Side Brackets do lend it to be a 1946.
Rear mount spare, front bumper must have a back story, and some extra lights up front as well.
