Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1948 CJ2A; These originals are getting harder to find! Built with PRIDE by hands of the USA!!!! Complete restoration completed in 2015—original (frame, body, engine, heater, wheels, transmission, bumpers, steering wheel, shifter, etc).
The original color was gray with white wheels, similar to the color Canyon Glow which is an original WILLYS color. Some enhancements… tub dipped in lizard skin, 6 volt system to 12 volt, back seat added, “cigarette lighter” plug for phone charging, front LED turn signals (LED strips), Mastercraft tires LT225/75R16 M+S for a nicer ride. June 2020 compete engine inspection and tuneup. Replaced were head gasket (studs/nuts), thermostat housing, intake manifold, exhaust manifold (studs & nuts as well) and fluids (over $2000 spent).
Smaller hardware/parts were replaced as needed. I do have a box of some original parts replaced to include the original odometer. Tons of fun! We drive this WILLYS around the area with confidence.”

(08/18/2020) This is a nice looking DJ-3A, though it does have a few restoration inaccuracies. It’s listed as a 1965, but the serial number indicates it is an April 1964 DJ-3A.

This CJ-5 has low miles with a working Auburn Trencher, rear helper coil springs, and a Koenig half-cab.

“1965 Willys CJ5 with Auburn Trencher. Front blade bracket/no blade. Dual wheel adapters with extra set of rims and tires. The Jeep has the-overload coil springs with leaf springs in the rear. It’s all there. Practically no miles on motor to speak of 5,000 +or – runs great, trencher works great. I do have dually adapters with the rims and tires that will go with it. Zero rust, great piece of history.
