UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
It could sue some work. This might have some early Free-Lock hubs, but I can’t tell for sure.
“I bought this flat fender Willys Jeep last weekend but now I’m realizing it needs more than I have the time for. It’s a fairly clean body with typical rust but nothing terrible. As you can see they butchered the grill to shoehorn a straight six in but I do have another grill that I can sell with the jeep. comes with a Koenig hard top and doors. I did not get a title but that would be fairly easy to obtain and I’m happy to help you do that. asking $2500 cash or something comparable in trade.”
UPDATE: And has the notch in the steering wheel for a column shift (thanks Doug)
Has tool indents.

“Just an old Flattie. It’s pretty complete, but hasn’t been run in years. Straight six, not seized. I have a clean title for it. Hit me up with questions. Thanks.”
What caught my eye about this one was the unusual hubs. Maybe an early Dualmatic (or dalmatic knock off?

Has an inverter mounted under the dash, but otherwise looks pretty stock. Looks like it may be missing a few parts.

“Chevy 350/ th350 trans. 44 front and rear axles 4:27 gears. Current registration. Full custom body inside and out. Needs some work but all there and drivable now”
An October 18, 1949, article in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram announced Daniel M. Towns decision to drive a jeep from Magallanes, Chile, to Fairbanks, Alaska, then drive to Washington, D.C. He is hoping to be able to cross the Darien Gap rather than boat around it. He plans to use tracks on a jeep to get through the Gap. As of the date of the article, Willys-Overland (or a dealer) had already agreed to supply a jeep.
A few weeks later, Towns received some advice from Frank Buck, as described in a November 07, 1949, article in the Forth Worth Star-Telegram. Frank Buck died a few months later.
Somehow, I never posted these Instructions for installing DJ-3A seats that Terry sent me. So, here they are in a post of there own. These are the official instructions dated June 15, 1956, for the front passenger seat installation on a DJ-3A using Field Kit Attaching Parts No. 696529:
