About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1949 Willy’s CJ3’s for sale, $7500. Run and drives. Price includes two complete Willy’s, a spare original all redone body and several new parts still in boxes. Price is firm, I hate saying that but I hate the guys who waste your time even more.”
The CJ-5 is $1600, but I don’t see a price for the CJ-2A. Seller also has a CJ-3B body and a rough CJ-5 (brown). Seller would prefer to sell altogether.
“I have a 1946 Chassis and body that is a good start to complete a CJ2A. Motor turns over but I have never tried starting it. The body is original steel and was stored in a garage for 40 plus years. Color is a greenish yellow. It has a few panels which I would replace but is in very good condition, does NOT look like Swiss cheese. Chassis has complete drive train including axles, transmission, brakes and wheels. Tires are No Good. It was stored in Syracuse area for a number of years. It has a few gussets to front frame horns and rear V brace needs replacing. I looked for over 2 years to find these items and are the best I could find. Only reason I am selling is I have temporary storage but can’t keep there long term. I have an early flat fender parts vehicle that can be part of the deal.
I also have quite a few parts for various years and am willing to sell them as one lot. Don’t ask to buy individual parts etc. I have an offer to buy everything if I don’t sell as semi complete units.
I have a 1979 CJ5 also that needs extensive body work but frame and drive train are excellent. The 79 has NY title and it runs and drives with a temporary gas tank. I did not register it. The 79 has the 4.2 six cylinder motor. 1979 has good General AT2’s all around. 1979 is $1600 or best offer. I have a number of panels from Classic Industries for the 1979 that will go with it.
I prefer text messages and I don’t answer my phone till after 6:30 PM Mondays, Tues. and Wed. but I will look at your texts.”
“I have a hard top and snow plow off of a 1952 willys jeep. the plow has every thing except the lift pump .the top is in good condition with locking doors and back hatch. with good crank windows.”
“NICE ORIGINAL1952 BANTAM MILITARY M-100 WILLYS JEEP TRAILER, SOLID TUB AND FRAME, HAS HAD THIS WOOD ROOF OVER IT FOR YEARS,WAS IN A FIRE DEPT, SER # 01215651,NEEDS TO BE RESTORED,HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO BALL HITCH, HAS THE 3 BRASS DATA TAGS,GOVERNMENT TITLE”
Good news! I will be extending eWillys in its current form through the end of 2020.
You might remember that on January 1st of this year I mentioned I was planning on ending or making changes to eWillys in the spring of 2020. I’ve decided to delay any changes until December of 2020.
The principal reason for this is to insure that Ann and I have a smoother transition from life as we know it into our new lives in 2020, should things work out like we believe they will. What this means for you all is that you will accompany Ann and I on these upcoming changes. I know this is all a bit vague, but that’s the way it has to be for now.
“1942 Press Photo Airborne Infantry handling Jeeps via aeroplane, Washington, DC. This is an original press photo. Trucks – United State. Washington, D.C. Members of The Airborne Infantry acquire great skill in handling of “Jeeps” via aeroplane. Here are men of The Airborne Infantry practicing placing a “Jeep” in an aeroplane and removing it. The aeroplane fuselage “Mockup” is exact scale of an actual aeroplane. Sent A and O list Chicago to west coast. Photo measures 8.5 x 6.75 inches. Photo is dated 2-28-1942.”
This CJ-5 has the early 0-10 King Seeley speedometer. I think this has a great, vintage feel to it.
“For sale is my 1955 Willys CJ5 Half Cab. Mostly original.
4 cylinder, manual transmission (3 spd)
4 wheel drive
Tow bar
Tow hitch
Solid sheet metal, no rust through
6V battery system
Fender mounted spare tire
Gas can mount. (no can included)
Runs, drives, and just about everything works except for the speedometer.
Very off road capable. I’ve had this in the hills a number of times. Tight turn radius.
Would make a great hunting vehicle.
If the ad is still up, I have not received cash for it and it is available. Please don’t just email me and ask if “Is this available?” I will not respond.
If you have specific questions, please send me your phone number and I will call you and try to answer them the best that I can.”
