About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

We’ve stopped in Champaign for the night. Just as we entered the city, a storm arrived. By the time we found the statute of movie critic Roger Ebert, which sits outside the Virginia theater in Champaign, Illinois (now showing John Wayne in Red River), sheets of rain could be seen and gnarly clouds were everywhere. We saw lightening and heard the thunder that followed. Thankfully, there was no rain falling on us. All three of us thought it made for a great storm, worthy of three thumbs up!!
Bernd’s been busy with his CJ-5. Last we saw it, he was using it to set up a local train for a public event in Austria. Recently, he needed to transport a diesel engine to a repair shop. These ordinary, utilitarian-type tasks is exactly how we often used Dad’s jeep.
Ted shared this unusual blend of a Surrey and a Tux Park. It sure looks nice. The seller doesn’t mention that the Surrey upgrades are incorrect for this model, but the seller is correct that if you want something unique to bring to a jeep event, this qualifies.
“1965 Jeep CJ-5A Tuxedo Park Mark IV – An “upscale” Jeep was named after the upscale Tuxedo Park in New York, which was the birthplace of the tuxedo. Elvis drove a similar Jeep in the 1965 movie “Tickle Me” which also starred Julie Adams. Tuxedo Park Jeeps were also driven in President Lyndon Johnson’s inaugural parade in January, 1965.
This special edition Jeep came standard with chrome bumpers, wheel covers, column shift, fold-down rear license plate, fold-down windshield, and a little more highway-friendly rear gear. Standard running gear is a 4-cylinder engine and 3-Speed manual transmission. Optional equipment on this one includes the surrey interior & top, 4-Wheel-drive, and “full” passenger seat. It has been retrofitted with seat belts for safety. Just like Elvis’ Tuxedo Park, this one is finished in Marlin Blue. Continue reading →

“1946 Willys Jeep CJ-2A This is a really a great little Willys Jeep as this is the year the Willys became available to the general public after the war. This is truly a great little restoration with everything from a new carburetor to new exhaust. Has approximately 77K original miles and runs good. Starts up fairly easily and runs strong. Original Flathead 4 cylinder Engine. Has new carburetor, oil filter, fan, newer starter, belts, exhaust, etc. and I’d recommend a new wire harness. Newer seats, and a new cover for it. This jeep shows like a 1946 Jeep Willys with some scratches on the paint and a little rust on the wheels so you know. It has a Clean Title with two VIN numbers listed at 72298@72705. It’s a great little jeep and just one that I’m not going to move and am downsizing.”
“Up for sale is a totally restored 1950 Jeep Willys CJ3A. Stand out from the Wrangler crowd with this Willys. You will get more attention with this old girl than you would expect. This is a total off frame restoration. Everything has been gone through, and I mean everything. There is nothing that needs to be done to this beauty. The restoration brought her back to her original glory including new wiring and 6V electrical system. Starts on the first crank and runs like a brand new sewing machine. They don’t make them like this anymore.
The pictures tell the story! Perfect for cruising around town, to the beach, dinner, shopping, or anywhere where you are seeking fun getting there. I have $16,000+ invested in this restoration and over 1000 hours in labor that isn’t included in that number. It’s really hard to find these in this good of condition. I have a new Jeep project I’m working on and need the space. I hate to see this one go! Clean Florida title in hand.”
“Great running motor. It will need the carb cleaned. It’s been sitting in my shop for a while. It has a new radiator, gas tank, and seats. That’s what your paying for.
Comes with a second set of axles.
I think it’s a 1942 model off hand”
“1947 Jeep Willy . Super clean & only one owner ,comes with the original owner’s manual and runs smooth .basically all original except for rims and tires , you won’t find many like this because there’s not that many left .9000 or best offer.”

“For sale: 1951 M38 Military Willys Jeep. Saved from wrecking yard years ago, you can save it from my garage.
No title – I will supply new owner with bill of sale, previous owners bill of sale and bill of sale from wrecking yard. Original title was surrendered to Wa State by wrecking yard when declared salvage, so you will need to apply for rebuilt/salvage title. Original VIN plate intact.
Restoration begun with original parts, not completed. Body/frame solid except a couple easy to repair areas. Comes with original M38 drivetrain (currently out of jeep with engine disassembled/incomplete) and extra original parts. Right front hub is frozen but on front rollers so it can be moved. You will need to trailer.
$2200/ offer. Need out of my garage so make a solid offer.”
