About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Kaiser Jeep M274 A1 Army Mule.
4-cylinder mule.
Engine turns over.
6 forward speeds, 2 reverse, MANUAL transmission
4 Wheel Drive, 4 Wheel Steer
Looks to be extremely complete.
Very rare.
Has the original data plates, showing military date delivery 12-63.
Needs restoration or can be left as a 61 year old barn find!”
“This has a good engine and drive train, body is rusted and plywood panels were bolted on to cover/replace the rusted out areas! Rear floor was replaced with 2 x 6’s. It has not been started in about the last 8 years, engine is not stuck. Will need trailer to get it home. Has good title.”
“I bought this truck from a family that the owner that was restoring it passed away and they wanted it out of the garage. I thought I would buy it to sell on ebay. It is a 1956 Willys 4×4 with a clean clear Montana title. . It was taken apart for restoring like headlights . The parts are in the back including several parts the guy found to use like the rear window and some dash pull knob assembly. seat springs. All parts in back go with truck. Floors and some other rust repairs are needed in the total restoration. Great truck to bring back to life. Truck is in Missoula Mt and buyer is responsible for pickup.”
UPDATE: This was for sale in Fresno. It is now for sale in Sisters, Oregon. I suspect the seller is a new owner and is now reselling it, given the limited description. Note that the plates in the pics from the 2023 ad and present ad are the same.
“Killer old 51 Willys custom. 327 w/turbo 400 auto trans. Runs great.”
==========================
(Previous comments, description and pics from 10/2023):This is a classic Fresno-area build with the oversize glass in the windshield, the doors, and more. It may include a soft top. I see no evidence it includes a Muller top.
Very clean Jeep CJ3a, 2nd owner, owned by the seller over 50 yrs.
SBC 350, Turbo 400, Spicer 18 transfer case, Warn overdrive 25%,
Dana 30 front, fresh Dana 44 rear
(new bearings, gears and LSD), Warn winch, big brakes, clean paint, good tires, and new dual fuel tanks. Upholstery and carpet is 4 yrs old with very little use.
Can be seen by appointment in Fresno CA.
You don’t see many like this one for sale. Odometer just rolled over last week, perfect starting point for the new owner”
“2 medics jeeps from world war 2 had time in service. From 101st airborne division hanger cleanout. Might be able to find red cross doors in the woods One runs with 24 volt system! One Title”
“Rare Willy’s High Hood. New wiring, fuel pump, fuel lines, and gas tank. Good tires. Has soft doors. Fun off road. Max speed is about 45 mph. Clean title. Asking $7500 or best offer.”
“This is a 1951 jeep station wagon with a f-134 engine. The engine is in running condition with over 120psi of compression on all cylinders. The carburetor and fuel pump have been rebuilt and has a new 6 volt battery. Car also comes with a variety of spare parts. The car is running but not road worthy.”
“1946 cj2a engine is rebuilt with new cam and lifters, bored with new pistons, crank was turned, valves regroups and everything else that goes with a rebuild. I got this out of a clean dry garage where it had been since 1981. I have all the parts to put it back together that are not in pics. Radiator, generator, starter, carb , full exhaust some of it is new. My next move was to do brakes and engine components. This Jeep has a rare Sears and Roebuck hardtop kit from the 60sinstalled on it. I have two extra engines and some other parts that I will sell after the Jeep goes. Price is $6500. Send me your number and I will call. I’m willing to get as many pictures as you want for serious buyers. “
After successive waves of cleaning, I’ve organized my nuts, bolts, washers, and oddities into similar sizes, thread counts, types, sizes, kinds, etc. This Harbor Freight organizer is hardly perfect, but it should be much easier to locate things (I hope). I fully expect the rear tab on plastic containers that holds them to a thin vertical plate to eventually break. But, until then, this keep me a little more organized.
This looks in good shape. Given how dry it is here, I suspect the metal under that diamond plate is in good condition (if it was added after the red paint).
