About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“1954 Willys Jeep M170 which is the military vehicle that inspired the CJ-6/Scrambler/Unlimited. It is an M38A1 stretched at the factory 20″ with about a 101″ wheelbase. This particular one appears to be USMC used for mobile radio rather than ambulance, but it has some of the ambulance features like holes in the tailgate and flip passenger seat. The M170 is a pretty rare Jeep as they only made a little over 6000 of them.
It has a good running F-Head 134 Huricane, T-90 3 speed manual, Dana 18 transfer case, original driveshafts and stock axles front and rear with 5.38s. I need to look again, but I think the front is a Dana 25 and rear Dana 44. Transmission is currently not installed and the engine is not currently wired/plumbed, just bolted in place, but I have driven them and they worked fine for me.
Some signs of body work/dents around the drivers door, hood and cowl. The fenders are rough, but they would work if you cut them for tire clearance. Other than that, amazingly rust free for the age including all the various storage boxes this model has.

“For sale is a 1957 WILLYS JEEP that runs and drives great! 4wd and lock outs work, trans shifts like a 70 year old 3 speed. I’ve put many miles on this thing since bringing it back to life, all around town and country driving, maybe 45 mph or so.
CONS:
The original engine at some point has been replaced with a ford 2.3L 4 cylinder out of a 70s pinto( using the original trans/ transfer case and axles) it also shares the brake cylinder of that make. It has a steering column maybe from a pinto? And seat from another vehicle as well. The original fuel cell has been move to the rear for whatever reason. The windshield is broken (I’ve gotten a quote and am willing to pull the frame, do the work and have the new one installed for a small fee something). The body does have some glass / filler in it but VERY solid frame and body, suspension ect. Continue reading →
