Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This may have a gov plate on the driver’s side dash. The jeep certainly got some unusual, seemingly purpose-driven mods.

UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $4950.
Runs and drives, but needs work of some kind.
“Rare Jeep CJ-6! Runs and drives decently. Does need some work. No soft top. These Jeeps aren’t easy to find.
The Jeep CJ-6 features a 20-inch longer wheelbase than the CJ-5. Around 50,172 had been made when the series went out of production completely in 1975. Read Less”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
Allan’s got this GPW survivor for sale. He recently bought it for the engine and is selling the rest. If the serial number is 9549, then it is an early 1943 GPW.
“This is a military GPW MB type Willys Jeep project. It previously had a Chevrolet V/8 engine swapped into it and I bought it to use the engine in another project.
The Willys still has the original glove box ID plate with the three tags on it. I have slightly brushed the center tag to reveal the following: GPW 95479…….2 4 30……2 5. I have rubbed a little chalk in the number to try to read and that is what I have come up with so far.
