The frame might be twisted (or could be a funky camera distortion … see second pic).

These are the final scans from Brian Chucha’s catalog (see the earlier scans here). I’ll eventually combine these altogether.
Thanks to Maury, I’ve recently purchased a Con-Ferr catalog from the early 1970s which ought to have a whole lot of interesting content, too. I should have some scans of that in early August.
This seller has five of these early CJ-2A brochures for $10.99. That’s a real good price.

“This lot offers the early Universal Jeep dealer’s brochure/foldout as shown. It measures 8 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches. It measures 34 inches long when opened. This brochure includes 14 pictures of the Jeep doing heavy-duty farm work. The condition is excellent.”
This brochure that Maury spotted highlights both the model “S” and the model “V”. The seller is accepting offers.
Looks like the engine was neatly installed.

“Ford 289 CID V8, four speed manual transmission, 4WD, power steering, front disc brakes, seat belts, new seats. Solid frame. Body in fair condition. The engine runs strong and has good oil pressure.
Rebuilt front axle with all new bearings, seals, and rebuilt locking hubs. Complete rebuild of rear axle with new locking center section, bearings and seals. New front brakes with new rotors, calipers, wheel bearings and disc pads. New rear brakes, lines and wheel cylinders. New master cylinder. New oil pan and pickup tube/screen, gaskets and seals. Distributor replaced. Just tuned-up including new MSD plug wires. Several coats of bed-liner inside body tub. New alternator.
It needs new seals in the transfer case, the shifter adjusted or replaced (sometimes shifter sticks), and the tires are old.
As-is, no warranty. Due to the age of the tires, it will need to be trailered home if you are going more than one mile. No trades.”
An unusual paint color choice (unless the jeep is meant to be camouflaged within camo wearing models), but the jeep itself appears solid.

“For Sale – For your enjoyment, good running, titled, collector licensed, rebuilt CJ2A. Has original 4 cylinder Go Devil engine still in it. Not sure on odometer as speedo was not working when we got it. Have spent countless hours rebuilding brakes, transmission, transfer case, body, etc. Spent over $1000 for parts. Have purposely left paint in original Luzon Red patina. Have lots of pictures and a list of what parts were replaced.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,000.
This is a pretty cool racer, especially if you like Pepsi or collect Pepsi collectibles.

“$10,000 or open for trades. Corvette, Mazda RX7, Willys Jeep.
This is not your grandma’s VW.
Vintage 1980’s Chenowth Magnum racing buggy with rich history. It was officially sponsored by Pepsi. Norris Racing campaigned it in the 1980s-90s NCPS/SODA short course stadium series predecessor to TORC/MWSCL. Then the buggy was bought by Alvarez Racing and lived in Mexico for NORRA desert racing. I bought and shipped it back from Mexico.
Has a US Forestry approved spark arrestor, so you can legally drive at Silver Lake.
