Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The models covered in the pages below are the Koenig Standard Hardtops 530 Full and 53 Half for the CJ-5 and Models 630 Full and 535 Half with adapters No. 3863 for CJ-6 Jeeps.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Bill, the newest owner, believes this was a 1948 CJ-2A.
I think I’ve seen this hardtop, but can’t place it.

“CJ3A Finished to a high quality. Body off frame. Numerous normal wear items replaced water pump,fuel pump,oil pump,etc. Compression, vacuum and oil pressure at factory specs. Steering box rebuilt and other steering components replaced. Brake shoes,lines,wheel cylinders and master cylinder replaced also springs and shocks. 12000 pound winch installed. Per Grundy classic auto insurance jeep has a replacement value of 22000.00 dollars. Please call me with any questions.”

Up graded engine to a 4.3 Chevy vortec . Converted to carburetor new holly 500 with aluminum intake. The following items are all new, mini starter, clutch and pressure plate, shocks, aluminum radiator, gas tank, gas line and fuel pump, gages, custom dual exhaust, u joints, bearings in steering column, bikini top, upholster seats, floor pans. Converted to 12 volt, and added signal lights. Sandblasted frame and body. Base clear coat with 4 coats of paint and 4 coats of clear color will never fade. Custom roll bar. Inside tub rhino lined. Working straight tail gate.”
