About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Hi all, Dave here. Yes, I’m still alive and breathing! Actually, I’m quite rested!
I recently bought a few cool items off eBay, so Tim said I could those items with you. I’ve got a couple brochures and a couple early Kaiser Willys Newspapers to post over the next week or so.
I should also mention that my eye surgery last week was successful, to the point that I now have 20/15 eye sight (an improvement from 20/200). It is SO awesome to be able to see again. Also, I can now see my computer screen now, which had become difficult by early November. I do have some excess floaters, which I hope will dissipate using a nutritional plan based on this Irish study; I figure there’s little to lose by trying it.
Just after Christmas we sold our breeder cows. By sold, I mean we traded future wrapped pork, plus a summer cow, which worked for both parties. So, I no longer have to deal with the cold and cows. We will still have a two or three summer cows, which means we will get them in the spring and butcher them in the fall.
Finally, I find myself involved with a French documentary crew who is making a documentary about my great great uncle Henry Farny, the western painter. I’ve become a liaison for them here in the US and they’ve asked me to participate, which might have be visiting Wyoming and/or Cincinnati in May, so I might even be able to make it out to the Willys Reunion (we’ll see how things go)! I am also thinking this might help springboard on a trip to Europe, but we’ll see (as they are filming in France and Germany, too).
Ann and I saw this Henry Farny painting in 2011 while it still hung at my great uncle Farny Eilers’ place in Connecticut. Painted in 1911, I’d estimate it was 5’x3′ at least? Sadly, I learned this week, it was auctioned after his death and now resides in Alabama. The frame’s label indicated it was called “The Good Old Times”, though an Alabama article does not mention the name at all.
UPDATE: I’d never seen this brochure before finding it on eBay. This is part of what was a vast vintage jeep doc and toy collection in New England. I’ve bought a few cool things from him.
As for a date on this four-page brochure, I’d say, given the patent date of 1948, that this brochure might have also been printed in 1948, especially given the CJ-2A. My guess is that Mr. Keyser didn’t make enough money to warrant any future reproductions of it. But, that’s only a guess.
While I’ve always called this a K and K mower (that’s the manufacturer), the brochure and data tag describes it as a Jeep Mower Bar (see pics at very bottom).
=============================
ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED MAY 17, 2019:In February of 1948 Allan Keyser filed a patent for a side mower. It appears this became the design for the K And K Manufacturing Company’s Mower as seen in the brochures at bottom. You can view other early mowing apparatuses here. Interesting that this came out of Colorado. I wouldn’t have guessed it.
“This invention relates to a mower attachment for the presently popular small, four-wheel drive, automotive vehicles popularly known as jeeps, and has for its principal object the provision of means whereby a mower bar can be quickly and easily attached to, or detached from, the vehicle so that it will be easily visible and easily controlled by the driver of the vehicle.
Another object of the invention is to provide highly efficient means whereby the angle of attack of a mower bar may be adjusted to suit the desires of the user and the requirements of the particular crop being harvested.”
UPDATE: I bought the Spanish version of this brochure off of eBay, so I’m adding it to this post. The Spanish version is Forma H1-3-59.
I won this rare early (first) Gala Brochure off of eBay. It is Form H1-3-59. The marketing document appears aimed at resorts and other tourist businesses. Interestingly, it appears conceptual in scope and doesn’t show any of the actual models available, other than what Las Brisas had done with DJ-3As. Note that on the back page it encourages interested parties to write to “Gala Plan, Willys Export Corp., Toledo 1, Ohio, U.S.A.”
This is pretty cool, 2WD with OD, 1947 has the early 0-70 silver gauges they look legit restorable, has some funky extra boat lights on the back those need to go. Column shift, what you can see of the window crank knobs look correct color, it looks really complete and super nice in the pics.

Pete sent in his 1946 CJ-2A, it’s really nice looking. Has had it 30 years. Mike’s not going to like there is no big back story here, but I think the rig speaks for itself it looks well done and a fun ride. I’m going to guess not an L134.
Thanks, Pete for sending this in!
If you would like to share your rig with us please follow this link and consider sharing a small story and a few memories or pictures, could be an older Willys from your past as well:
Pete if you have some additional original pictures build pictures or information happy to update the post. I was lucky to have gotten a photo album with my Red Wagon filled with shots of the build, and what a transformation that rig has gone through in his 30+ years of ownership.
Dan shared this one: “Definitely a project, but the PTO may make it worth checking out”

I’m sure most know about Classic Auto Mall out in Morgantown, PA. It’s a nice size consignment dealer, looks like they have a 10% commission, my guess is off the sale price, I’ve never delt with them but it looks like a really cool place to visit one day.
This is a nice “driver”, 230 Tornado. I’m partial to these and its actually really nice looking, there are some issues but overall has some neat features.
Factory Air Cleaner
Washer Bag and Nozzle.
It looks like its all pretty much there.
Looks nice.
Bright work is nice.
Trim is all there.
Wraparound rear bumper is nice
Interior is decent.
Things you may need to address.
Rust never sleeps kind of stuff; it’s a driver so looks like you can jump in and go!
Rubber pretty much needs a bunch of rubber stuff.
Springs, need to take a good look probably need to be done.
Leaks, while ingenious they have some cool magnetic drip cans, never seen that before but like a good Willys it marks it spot.
The engine compartment is all there but needs some clean up. Have a couple of weekends and you have a nice driver.
Some glass is older may need some work eventually.
Overall if this drives and stops enjoy it for a season then peck away at these things as time permits.
I have this at a “make an offer” and see if it sticks.
Ken shared his Jeepster with us, while I’ve never met him in person we have interacted on OWF and he is a great contributor over there and has a couple neat long time Willys.
Thanks, for sharing you Jeepster.

How Long Have You Owned Your Rig?
Dad owned at least since 1958, I owned since 1970
Please add some details or a story about your rig, any special places visited or memories with your rig?
Dad’s 49 Jeepster was red in color with the upper in black. The body was remounted onto a Willys pickup chassis that was shortened 14 inches and retained all the original drive train with a Timken 4.88 rear end, T90 with D18 transfer case, a 265 Chevy small block with power brake booster, a PTO driven winch and spare gas tank from 1955-58 truck. It was not the purest of conversions.
This was one of the main vehicles in the family and we used it at the mountain place, in Laramie, and hunting. Dad would go up to various mining claims in the mountains and salvage ore carts, horse drawn winches, ball mill, and other apparatus from the abandoned mines. He would tell me that he was usually in the lead with various 4WD excursions with his buddies and that they were too scared to drive their universal jeeps as fast as he would go in the Jeepster and especially with side hills.
It had bucket seats out of a Corvair I believe. Another anomaly was the hanging pedals out of a 50’s mercury. Even had a hydraulic clutch with a ford slave cylinder and I believe a master cylinder from a Ford.
We rarely had the top down living in Wyoming and the dust and brass zippers, never got along well.
Notes
I partially rebuilt from 73-81, Sold it to my step-daughter in about 1986, then bought it back in about in 2007 I did a full restoration at that time.
Thanks again for sharing this great back story and history on this one!
