About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Meet Daisy! A fantastic and rare 1973 Super Jeep.
Only produced for a couple months in 1973, the Super Jeep was an appearance package created due to a lack of a supply of aluminum wheels needed to produce the Renegade models. The Super Jeep is highly recognizable by it’s outrageous Peter Max – like decal package, white steel wheels, curved chrome front bumper, two tone interior and upholstered white padded dash.
Only 300 Super Jeeps were produced, with only a few handfuls surviving today. The majority of the 300 Super Jeeps produced were made in White or Blue with a few others in more rare colors like this one in Daisy Yellow. Continue reading →
Willys-Overland began publishing the Salesbuilder magazines in July of 1948 with the announcement of the Jeepster. The Salesbuilder supplanted the W-O Sales News magazine. According to a small blurb on Google (I can’t read the whole reference), the Salesbuilder was part fo the effort to push the Jeepster.
I own a couple of Salesbuilder magazines, but those are the only ones I’ve seen. Below is a series of covers that I’ve been able to document so far. I’d like to find more.
As far as I know, Salesbuilder issues were published between July of 1948 and as late as August of 1951. By early 1954 (possibly January), Kaiser Willys had shuttered the magazine format for a newspaper format (see the March 1954, volume 1, issue 2 at the bottom of this post).
“Late 40’s early 50’s Jeep Willy’s frame and parts. Straight frame includes all pictured. Jeep has 2 grills, fenders, and tub. Sell as one or possibly individual parts. You pick up.”
“Selling for parts only, no titles

(05/04/2019) This has some tool indents, but the gas inlet is missing (probably removed, as the gas tank sits in the cargo area now). Strangely, there appears to be also a custom tank underneath the cargo area.

(10/24/2018) There’s some work that’s needed. It’s got a variety of mods.
“This is your chance to get rust free resto-mod Colorado iconic CJ-3B! An awesome winter project for you.
It’s been in my family since the 60’s. Mostly restored with many upgrades. Full flanged Dana 44 rear from 1971 CJ-5, narrow track Dana 35 with disc brakes up front. Rebuilt 225 Buick Dauntless V6 from S&B engines. Rebuilt TH350 automatic (don’t get me started about the A/T…) could easily be converted back to a manual. Sorry don’t have the original trans anymore. Comes with Koenig hardtop and doors. The hardtop and doors need new glass.
This is being sold as a project in process! I’ve got too many other irons in the fire for now. You must know how to wrench to get this beauty back on the trail. Serious inquiries only.”
