About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1940s Spen Model H trailer. Very solid condition. No major rust. Solid floors. Appears to have the original hitch, leg stand, tailgate chains, axle, and springs. Not sure if the side extensions are original. If home made, they were done great. No title. Very similar to the Willys, Bantam trailers. Works great behind Jeep YJ, CJ, or early Broncos. Just needs painted to match your rig. Location on map is within 5 minutes of my house. Only interested in trading for cash.”
“Late 70’s model mail jeep $2300 OBO. Purchased to do sales flyers for our business but have not used it, so it has just been taking up space. Would make a good small business delivery car. for more information please call or text.”

UPDATE: Nate’s hoping to gather some Stratton-related information. So, I’ll be using this post to gather that info. If anyone has any more insights into this lift, email me at d@ewillys.com or post it directly to Nate’s thread on the earlyCJ-5.com page. Also, Clint Dixon and Barry Thomas have authored a five-part series of articles for the Dispatcher Magazine titled “The Making of the Farm Jeep”. The Fall of 2018 issue includes information on the Stratton Lift.
As early as 1949 Stratton Equipment out of Cleveland, Ohio, was marketing hydraulic products. One example was their truck lift, a hydraulic lift used for placing cargo onto truck beds. The lift is pictured at the top of page 146 in the October 1949 issue of Popular Mechanics. This was just one of multiple patents filed over the period of three decades (1940s-1970s) by Alfred F. Foote, product designs both jeep-related and non-jeep-related.
(12/15/2018) Needs some brake work, but could be a good price.
“1948 CJ2A with an aluminum V8 215, 4 speed, 4 low and high, warn overdrive, winch, dual fuel tanks, rear seat that is removable, new tires, carburetor rebuilt, new manual fuel pump, runs great but brake issues.”
“Listing for a friend. You are looking at a very nice and well detailed 1956 Willys Station Wagon. It is the 4 wheel drive with the Continental 226 engine. It has had a very nice restoration including brand new interior with great attention to detail. Powdercoated seat frames, new upholstery, headliner, floor, etc. All new chrome along with updated stereo as well. New chrome grill. Also has brand new tires including the spare. Paint shows very nice, although has minor rust showing above drivers rear wheel well and bottom right of rear hatch. It also has new wiring and generator under the hood. Attention to detail on this truck is apparent throughout.
The bad part and reason for the very low price, is while enjoying all this fresh work, the engine let go with one of it’s rod bearings and will need a rebuild. It is all complete and has not been pulled out, my friend is just done with it and ready to just move on from it now. No expense has been spared and you will not be dissapointed. Asking 14,000”
