This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This Jeep would be great for the deer lease or pasture riding. That’s what we were using it for. We drove it into the barn 4 years ago to replace the clutch fork and life got busy and we haven’t touched it since. I’m sure it needs a new battery and probably tires. It does need a clutch fork since we never replaced it. It’s been barn kept”
UPDATE: This is the original patent for the Jeep-a-Loader! The application was first filed on February 07, 1955, by the Minneapolis Freeman Mfg, Co. (Out of Minneapolis??). I am guessing that the Jeep-A-Loader Corporation was a subsidiary or offshoot from the above parent company. The drawing shows that the Jeep-A-Loader was designed to fit over a CJ-3B (perhaps a CJ-5 as well), though the only one I’ve seen documented is fitted on a CJ-3A.
The filing date likely means this was manufactured around 1955, plus or minus a year. The patent was granted February 11, 1958.

From June 2008: A reader named Ed sent me some pics of a rare find he just purchased: A front end loader for a jeep from a manufacturer called Jeep-a-Loader. The serial number is 1001. The hydraulics system is powered by a Hy-lo hydraulic pump, which has been used to power other Willys devices. You can see an example of a Hy-lo pump here and here. Here are some pics below.
This particular Wilmington, North Carolina, dealer was selling trucks, cars, jeeps, tractors, and much more. The ad appeared in the February 7, 1946, issue of the Wilmington Morning Star.
The front passenger jeep wheel looks like it is barely on the wood.

“I am selling my 52 Airforce M38 . I have a descent marine version trailer to go with it. we did a ground up restoration on this jeep . does not have a top . Has a new wiring harness installed , new exhaust system along with many nos parts Does not have any stenciling yet”

Seems like this ex-racer could be modified into a racer again.
“Jeep willys body on a shortened blazer frame. Healthy SBC 350, world 2.08 iron heads around 450hp. Th350 and dana 20. 10 bolt front open 12 bolt rear locked. Full cage tied to frame, pb,ps, aluminum radiator. Very reliable and can wheel all day and not overheat. Very fun in sand and mud. Runs great. This jeep is an ex barrel racer.”
UPDATE: Rob notes that this has been converted to 12 Volt.

(11/18/2018) TJ shared this unusual electric-powered Jeep-like VW.
“Electric bug. New batteries, range 25 miles, top speed 30 mph. Has 48 volt drive system, spare and tow bar. Will consider trade or trade in. Titled as a 1969 vw alternative fuel vehicle, street legal.”

“1940s Spen Model H trailer. Very solid condition. No major rust. Solid floors. Appears to have the original hitch, leg stand, tailgate chains, axle, and springs. Not sure if the side extensions are original. If home made, they were done great. No title. Very similar to the Willys, Bantam trailers. Works great behind Jeep YJ, CJ, or early Broncos.
